Location Too much noise early in the morning from the staff and late at night from the guests. Very poor breakfast and very chaotic. The beds are like cots, very narrow, hard and thus uncomfortable. I stayed 5 nights and after the 3rd night had to ask myself to change the bed sheets. There was hair on the new bed sheets. A used cup was not changed at all during my 5-day stay.

Quiet area near to Marble Arch It cost only £41 The rude and rather listless receptionist, who was in deep conversation with two male friends, wanted a lengthy room card filling in, with name, address, phone number, email etc, and wanted to see photo id, and this was all after I had already paid and was booked on a booking account, in which all my home details are already included, remember it was a pre- paid deal and I arrived wearing a smart suit and tie! Her 'friends' also wanted to cast their eye over my credit card details. What a welcome! Not! The lift was not working. They didn't bother to tell me though. I walked back through reception on my way to stairs. Snigger snigger. I found my way to the room. No remote for the tv, reading lamps not working, not actually connected at all, very small shower and toilet, absolutely no frills accommodation, plenty of overspill noise from nearby rooms, cleaners also began changing beds noisily in upper rooms two hours before I wanted to get up. Didn't bother with the breakfast either.

I booked a single room and was given a large double bed room with a single. It was basic but for a last minute £30 a night purchase in this area it was pretty good value. I enjoyed the breakfast, juice, cereal, toast and jam - within the price I think this was acceptable and the breakfast room was clean and laid out nicely. Overall, I was very happy with my budget stay here and would go again. Not much really it was everything I expected it to be. If your going to go cheap don't expect 5* service and decor. This is a basic hotel but if your doing it on the cheap its a pretty good hostel.

It was a grotty place. The furniture looked worn and chipped. You had to pay a deposit for the TV handset. All in all I would definitely NOT recommend it

I hated the fact that they wouldn't change the date of my visit. I understood fully that I could not cancel the booking but due to unforseen circumstances my management team were here from America and I could not make the visit. I wished merely to postpone my trip and understood there may be an additional cost involved. They were absolutely unwilling to even consider it. Very very poor service and I will not visit them at all in the future nor recommend them to my friends, family or colleagues.

The hotel is located quite centrally, not far from a tube station. I had everything I needed there. Obviously lots of tourists use the hotel which is reflected in the state of facilities. Breakfast is just cereals + toasts and jam, no cheese or cooked breakfast. The walls are like paper so it's not particularly quiet. A group of teenagers was accomodated nextdoor and they were very loud. But if you are not particularly demanding, the hotel is OK to oversleep.

i loved the location, close to shops, parks, short walk to museums and train station. asked to be situated away from lifts and this request was met. at the time i was there the floor i was on was undergoing improvements so power tools could be heard throughout the morning and day. shower floods despite shower curtain and even angling the shower head away from opening.

Location was very handy to a number of tube stations, and quite a variety of restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Corridors are a bit tight, and hard to navigate with luggage, but not too bad.

This is the second time I have stayed here, it is clean and the staff are very courteous, although the rooms are sparse, everything is there including tea and coffee making facilities. I cannot praise it enough. We were in the basement and the room was warm so opened the window, at 2am (or there abouts) someone delivered laundry (I think) which woke me up. This wouldn't have happened if the window had been shut but it did give me a start!

We already label it as the hotel from hell.....we will never, ever want to stay in this hotel again. We book a triple room for 3 nights since there were 3 of us (me, friend and 20 yr old daughter). The room given to us was nothing like the photos shown in booking.com. We must have been given the worst room in the hotel. Room was very rundown, with curtains falling off the rail, carpet was very dirty and heater was not working well. Shower floor was blocked. When we complain cos shower was flooded, we waited for at least 1 hr before it was fixed and staff at reception was rude by saying everybodyelse need to shower too. Is she implying that every shower floor in the hotel was blocked too?? Later we found out that rooms on that floor were going through renovation. After 1st night we complained, we were given a room on the 4th floor, which was quite small but nice and looks like the photos in website. It was probably a show-room since no one stayed there before us. We were quite upset that we had to complain heavily before we got the nice room. The hotel lift is also very small, very slow, jumpy and dangerous and dirty.

Staff was quite nice and friendly, did all I asked for. Move to different room was not a problem, location quite ok. Hotel is ok because of stuff and I would recommend it just because of that and little part was on location. No remote control ( we found out after 3days its only a deposit of 10£), old not changed sheets on bad, no control on (radiator- heater).., Lift, elevator from stone age. Wooden loud flour. And no toilet cleaning brush - weird.

The reception staff and foyer gave a good first impression. The room appeared rather spartan but was comfortable and the facilities, especially the ensuite bathroom, were great. The location is close to bus and tube routes and is reasonably central so it is a good, practical choice for London and tremendous value. I will be checking it out again! The food at breakfast was just cereal and bread (toaster available). Not worth the queue. However the juice and coffee was plenty for me. One waitress was in a foul mood. She was shouting at other breakfast staff in the kitchen and ignoring guests' questions about where to sit. It was so over the top it was quite funny. Her actual job was just to clear tables so the Aeroflot service didn't matter too much!

Just the area Will be writing a full letter of complaint requesting a refund. Had the worst two nights sleep of my life. First night it it was freezing a sheet and thinest blanket ever. Had to get up in the night to put a jumper on then at 6am had to get up and go and ask for another blanket. Went for breakfast in the morning and to the amount of rooms there are there is no way enough tables we had to stand and wait half hour befor we could sit and eat. When you go on a holiday/short break you expect comfort and to be able to sit and eat a decent breakfast with no fuss this wasnt the case. I can honestly say it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I will never go back and I would never recommend.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The place isn't a palace by any stretch of the imagination, but the room was warm on a very cold night, the sheets, towels etc were clean and in good condition and the hot water was plentiful which is what I mainly look for in any hotel. Breakfast is basic, but there's no restrictions on the amount you can have. There's a luggage room to store your stuff on check out. Tiny lift, decor a bit shabby and run down. Loudly creaking floorboards in my room and the room overhead.
