The price! Possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, can't really complain too much as it was cheap! However, the staff were rude, the lift didn't work properly, the housekeeping wasa sub-standard and when we checked out we accidentally left a couple of items in the room, we telephoned the hotel and they wanted to charge £20 plus postage to return the items, I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and have never known that before! I find it disgusting! I would not recommened this hotel to anyone! But if you are on a tight budget you can't really complain

Doesn't deserve some of the reviews I've read: cheap but pleasant. Shower was hot with Plent of water, room was warm and clean. Not enough bedding, though (no undersheet).

Apart from the location, I did not like anything. The Main factor was that I did not feel secured at the hotel and could not sleep. The breakfast was terrible. It would have been better not to serve any breakfast. I would have been better at sticking to Travel lodge, the hotel chain I stayed at in the past.

Great location & clean. Quite over-priced though... Moved to a 4 star hotel (from lastminute.com) for the same price after a couple of days. Location was the only sacrifice!

It´s simple. It´s not an hotel designed to be enjoyed its just a place to sleep. For turism is perfect because you spend the day on the street. It has lift, breakfirst, individual room and bathroom, which fit my needs.

Competitively priced and handy for the Circle/District or Central line. I would probably go there again. Not ideal if you need a receipt for tax or expense claim purposes. They ask you to pay on arrival, but the night porter apparently can't print vat receipts. You have to go and ask for your receipt in the morning, and then they give you one with "copy" printed across it. Strange. Oh, and the single beds are a tad on the narrow side. And mind you don't stub your toe on the metal edge of the step leading up into the bathroom. It hurts a lot. Otherwise OK.

Location and cost The staff were rude and condescending. It was clear that they thought they they were doing us a favor by allowing us to stay at their hotel, even down to the hassel of renting a remote control for the tv. That is right! The tv remote control had to be rented.

The double bed was a three quarter bed, very uncomfy, felt every spring. noises through the night as if the boiler was running and not turning off. The breakfast left a lot to be desired, very minimal choice, some guests take their own toast toppings, and the bread must have been the cheapest they could find, it was like cardboard.

It was great that I could get a room at 40 Pounds at such a short notice. But 40 Pounds was a bit too much when you are given a room which is infact a converted cellar. The room was just about big enough for 1 person to move around. The TV set was substandard Chinese product. Interestingly, although not advertised com Booking.com, the hotel takes a 10 Pound refundable deposit for providing a remote control to the TV set. There was no shower cubicle in my bathroom. Although advertised as continental breakfast would be provided, it infact comprised bread butter, tea/ coffee/ juice

The location is good A very old building, very poor maintained, dirty carpets in the room, the room sold as double when in fact it was an extremely small single with a small double bed, with one nightstand on one side and stuck to the (sash) window on the opposite side and one foot distance to the shower room which, by the way it did not have a door handle on the inside!! How basic is that?!... One single wardrobe extremely small and built in. Tv-yes, but you have to pay deposit for the remote control to be given to you..I Understand this is a budget hotel, however even the lowest budget should be at least clean and have a door handle. Overall- worst hotel and worst ever "double" room!

The location, the kettle in the room. I froze the night before an important meeting because the receptionist insisted the heatong was on. Whereas the next day, another employee came up and fixed the heating body. The TV has only 2 channels and bad reception so don't count free TV as a pro. I was able to take a shower in the end but their plumbing almost gave me a heart attack. The smallest room ever. Cold air coming in from the closed window (no insulation)

Nice quiet location Tiny shower room, more of a shower cupboard! Fine as a basic pit stop. Comfy bed although not full size single bed, more like a camp bed.

It was clean and in a good location for shops, restaurants, the tube and walking. Breakfast was a little too basic. A selection of brown or white bread even would have been an improvement.
