Friendly and helpful staff Well-prepared and served breakfast Lounge facilities No provision for smokers (unfortunately the wather wasn't good and the only possibility is to stand outside) It would have been useful to hae simple snacks available in the evening.(the only option was to go out in the sleet to a corner shop) THESE ARE NOT COMPLAINTS - JUST OBSERVATIONS. Oveal the hotel standard was very adequate for my needs.

This hotel was in a good situation for Stalybridge which is where we had to visit Tameside Hospital - the manager was very friendly and helpful, the hotel was lovely & warm. The rooms were adequate /showers clean & tidy / the beds extremely comfortable although the double room we had was a bit cramp it was fine for one night. My mother was in the family room which was very spacious. The breakfast was good and again the staff very friendly & helpful. The rooms were very basic and a bit grubby looking although clean- the carpet had seen better days in both rooms.

Family were very friendly Nothing to dislike - small room but clean and tidy - exactly what I expected for the money paid. If you want posh - pay for posh.

Relaxed atmosphere, breakfast, friendly staff, good location, close to town centre. Room just a little too small. Shower took quite a whijle to warm up.

I did not like the hotel at all. The room(no. 4) was small and sparsely furnished. The space was so limited that the small double bed was placed up against the wall with only room for a very small side table at the other side. The ensuite was adequate. The area was very run down and did not feel safe.We did not stay the night, preferring to drive straight home.
