Check in was easy. Staff were very friendly and helpful, Bed was very comfortable
Shower bracket was broken and could not be used
The bed was comfy. And the bathroom was clean.
There was no telephone in the rm to call rm service if needed, the remote control was absolutely dirty. And just under the window under the radiator was very very dirty.
Clean and spacious room with a huge bed everything was in working order. Would definitely go back just for the price point.
There was no hot water in the shower but there was hot water in the sink. Tried a multitude of things to get it to work and it just didn't want to give me hot water. Not very good especially with it being winter. Thank god there was heating.
I paid on line for a executive room but the email was sent to them for a standard room, i ended up staying in a standard room. i was so disappointed.
Very quiet, warm and comfortable. Liked the fact that reception was always manned. TV worked properly. Appreciated tea facilities
We were offered an alarm call. However we had no phone and so no alarm call.
1) Shower did not work 2) Very bad toilet seat location design (difficult to sit touching a wall) 3) Rainwater was tapping near the window, making noise all night so could not sleep well
wifi good nice to have waitrose nearby
for me, its out of town, but was only place with rooms tired, ugly but price reflects so value good
Convenient Hotel on M1 Facilities good with take aways accessible in the service station Noise was a minimum
Heating on all night with no in room regulation No exit back into service station so you had to go all the way back to Milton Keynes to get back on the Motorway to continue our Journey North
location, cleanliness, staff helpful, good budget
expected the worst as it was really cheap but really pleasantly suprised on how nice the room was. excellent stop off location mid travel. Comfy bed, clean, quiet
having to get out of the car as there security gate buzzer doesnt work
The space and view. Close to a lovely little village. Advice given by reception on where to get a good take-away meal (local Indian and was indeed good).
Room was clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and could not do enough to help you. Would stay here again.
easy access and comfy rooms
reception staff sat listening to music on her headphones so did not hear us when we phoned hotel asking for directions
There was potential. The staff on reception were pleasant and helpful. There was complimentary Wi-Fi, newspaper and tea/coffee.
The room was very run down, the bathroom needed renewing, there was very little room with the sofa beds out for the children, the Wi-Fi signal was poor. We had to ask for bedding for the sofa bed. The lady who tried to help us couldn't find anybody from housekeeping so took a quilt off a bed in another room. The room was not particularly clean. We stay in motels quite frequently and have always used Premier Inn and Travel Lodge. They are definitely better quality and value. Definitely disappointed.
The friendly staff nothing too much trouble.
Location and the overpriced breakfast
Every single person working at this Hotel has warm and hospitable attitude. I had a booking error and they went out of their way in spite of being fully booked to accommodate me. I decided to stay with them even after having a closer option accommodation to my destination in Milton Keynes.
The rooms conditions are modest - and are scheduled for tear down.
Breakfast was good though a bit pricey almost £8 for a full English. I was there working in the area so location was a 5 min drive. The staff was friendly. And cost was with breakfast around the same price as a B and B.
My shower had no pressure and I realised the water was escaping from the tap area this was fixed on day 3 of a 3 night stay only to find that there still wasn't any pressure behind it. (Room 88) the decor looked old and tired needed a spruce up. The worst thing was the doors to the rooms bang shut if not controlled, fine at 6pm not so good at 3am need soft closers adding. Breakfast pricey and so was the bar. Having No restaurant was a bit of an inconvenience but not a major concern if you don't mind KFC or burger kings from the services or driving to the local pub in Newport pagnall.
We travelled with two children, on arrival no bed was made up for my second child, I had to pull the bed out which had no bedding, hotel was fully booked and receptionist couldn't find any bedding, eventually she found one which didn't look to great & was falling apart so children ended up top & tailing. My 5 year old has asthma and we was in a smoking room, it never occurred to me that a hotel would still allow people to smoke, again hotel fully booked so couldn't move us. Could off paid £65 and stayed at a premier or holiday inn which I am always happy with. Definately wouldn't stay again.
comfy large room and a bath which was welcome .Surprisingly quiet.
Cleanliness was atrocious handfulls of dust and cobweds on skirtingboards in room11 broken bath panel with sharpedges broken tv
Location was good. Wifi was strong
Staff were rude and didn't seem to take any price in appearance or customer service. Real dingy "motel" rather than hotel
The room that I had was extremely quiet considering it was so close to the M1. The bed was comfortable and all the facilities I needed were there.
The TV was unwatchable due to signal breakup and would not respond to the remote control. The shower head was loose on its support so I couldn't aim it. Most annoying was the fact that I couldn't turn off the radiator, which was very hot. This meant that I slept on top of the duvet with the windows wide open all night. Not ideal when you are on the ground floor.
