Days Inn Milton Keynes East M1  

Price, Breakfast, shower, cleaner, fairly quiet (considering its proximity to the M1 motorway), morning (English) receptionist - who sorted out the problems caused by the previous evening's receptionist and refunded the overcharge - see my comments about what I disliked.

Dirty stained sticky bedroom carpets, Marked Duvet Cover, poor quality hard sheets, uncomfortable lumpy and very bouncy beds, soap dispensers faulty. Evening check-in receptionist (Polish) had very poor spoken English, was not helpful, could not find booking, claimed that booking.com had cancelled, and overcharged by six pounds.

Location for gullivers and price of room

Food was poor quality for price paid. We were first in restaurant at 6:10 pm, it should have opened at 6:00pm but staff late. Food was ordered at 6:15 but arrived at 7:15. With young children wanting to eat and place being empty I found this wait unacceptable without an explanation.

Great price and very pleased. I judge by what my children thought + they enjoyed it :)

Needs more lighting on the approach as we arrived at night time and the entrance is a little confusing.

Lovely clean room. Staff really friendly and helpful. Would use this hotel again.

Just the lock on room 10. Would have preferred a deadlock on the door as I was a lady staying on my own and door lock seemed really flimsy don't know if all the rooms are the same. Didn't sleep well because of this. The towel rail fell off the wall at one side needs repairing and the soap container at the sink didn't work sufficiently.

Value for money, location and fit-for-purpose. The chef was great. Friendly, warm, very welcoming and provided good food as well.

No telephone in the room - even for contacting Reception. I needed to speak to contact Reception and I had to use my mobile. Not having a means of communication with reception is indeed a safety hazard. How would one report and emergency or a fire?

the view from my room was superb, the room was cleaned every days.the hotel location near by shops which opened 24 hours. I will come back to stay at days inn milton keynes when ever I am in UK.

the room was not aicondationing, it will be warm if staying during summer.

ok our first room had no heating but the staff where good to move us to the room next door.But the second room had heating but the toliet did not flush properly

First class location

No breakfast this time, however as it was the day before christmas I reallise that the staff were on holiday

Made me feel welcome.

Was a place to sleep and was very quiet at night and no noise from motorway, I didn't eat there as I thought breakfast at nearly 8 pounds was a nonsense. Very close to local amenities in Newport Pagnall.

Not well signposted to get to from both sides of motorway as you have to go through a no entry sign for authorised vehicles only.

For us it was in a good location. Staff were helpfull and the room was clean with no faults. I was the maintenance manager witin the Hilton group and I rate the Days hotel very highly for appearence and comfort.
