Convenient location on motorway. Dog friendly - great field for walk although dog poo bin was overflowing! Friendly helpful staff.

Grubby bathrooms in need of redecoration. Poor maintenance - bulb in hall out and socket by kettle broken and curtain immediately came off rail when closed.

Staff Restaurant - good value dinner. Excellent help when I mislaid my wallet with credit cards etc. Please accept my thanks for tracing them.

Could do with two easy chairs in a room designed for two people.

It is very convenient for us to visit friends and family.

Nothing to complain about.

The reception staff were very helpful. On arrival at 2.15 pm The young man behind the desk noticed that I used a stick and offered me a ground floor room.

The Staff was very friendly

There was mold along the walls near the ceiling of the room by the windows, and you could see that the wall above the ceiling leaked when in rained.

Lady on the desk as we arrived at midnight was lovely.

I requested a cotbed to be set up in the room and for the second time in staying here there was no cotbed on arrival. Had to set it up myself at midnight having just driven 3 hours! Also it stunk of cigarette smoke?! The lady at reception says she made a highlighted note for (andrew) and apparently he ticked it off to suggest he had done it.

Noisy next door occupant one night

The location was perfect for what I needed on this trip. The hotel was exactly what I was expecting and served the purpose very well indeed.

I would be happier if the bathroom actually 'looked' clean - perhaps refurbishment might be needed. Didn't dislike, just an opinion.

The facilities were good and the view we had over the grass was a lot better than looking over a car park! The cost was ok too.

I had booked my overnight stay on line, and was given a booking reference number. However when I arrived the staff could find no record of my booking, and were not interested in my reference number, which I couldn't understand. I booked in as a completely new customer. What is the point of an online booking system which does not record the booking?

Need more coffee, tea, milk, and sugar in room when not having breakfast.

The location and the bed. The shower was fantastic also. How the heating was on in our room when we arrived.

The room shelves where quite dusty, found this out when I went to put my black trousers on and they where full of dust. The toilet needed bleach leaving in it over night. Only half a loo roll was in our bathroom.

The double bed was one bed, not two singles pushed together as we had at the four pillars, abingdon a few nights before for twice the price. The room was large and pristine, the bed luxuriously comfortable, quite a flash and well equipped room for the price! We didn't stay for breakfast, but it smelled excellent and again was less than half teh price of the four pillars we had stayed in and the staff here were infinitely more competent.

The heating was on full blast and the windows only open a few inches at one end, so room was uncomfortably stuffy and the shower was quite old and temperamental, however this was only really in comparison to the quality of the room, which was far higher than we had felt we had paid for.

Great to have motorway accommodation with a bar and restaurant.

The accommodation is on the northbound side of the m6. It would be great if southbound travellers were given clear directions about how to find it.
