Very convenient to Land's End and Cornish Mining World Heritage Area

I have now stayed in both Family rooms on seperate occasions and both have a slight damp smell, and are very noisy from the rooms above. Everytime someone walks around, the floor boards creak, and every time they flush the toilet or empty the bath it is very loud.

The staff were friendly & helpful.

Everything in the room creaked - the bed especially. The place was in need of an upgrade. The windows were badly fitting & the wind blew the curtains. Everything was a bit budget standard, but I paid less for much better accommodation during my week in Cornwall walking the coastal path.

Friendliness of staff ,comfort of room away from main bar but withaccess to it when wanted for good evening meal. Central location for all our favourite spots in cornwall and pasty shop next door!

Difficulty of parking in small village but there is free public car park short walk away.

It would be hard to find a better value place to stay for four people sharing a room en route to isles of Scilly. They allow checking in helpfully late at night so you can do a 6 hour trip after a day work in London and they allowed us to have breakfast early so we could make our flight .

Doing a driving holiday through cornwall, this was a brilliant place to stop after enjoying a trip to nearby Lands End.

Very basic however you got what you paid for.

Lovely village pub with comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff & locals make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Room clean, comfotable & functional. Bathroom headroom limited by roof shape meant shower could only be used by children but bath also fitted so this was ok for me. Good value, lovely area, I will be happy to stay here again.

ease of booking online. comfortable spacious room with freindly welcoming staff. placed centrally in St Just with access to many country walks and in close proximity to many local points of interest.

I liked having a bath!

I didnt like having to have evening meals in the bar area = too crowded.Would have preferred the quieter dining room upstairs.

Location, quite but central, menu

Bit mish-mash, dated, carpets needs replacing - as do the toilet mats

the room was scruffy and not particularly clean {was clean in obvious places}and it was in need of a dusting. The door frame was cracked and it looked like it had at some time been broken into. The lock had been moved about. The wallpaper was coming off the wall in places.However we do appreciate the economic climate in the last few years has not been easy for hoteliers.

The beds were so comfortable, carpets soft and the bathrooms spacious.

Steps up to rooms a bit steep and one night it was very noisy trying to get to sleep from the pub downstairs, but this was only once in our stay.

Friendly, relaxed and trusting. They didn't ask for any deposit up-front, simply pay on eparture.

Central location, the heart of the town.
