It looks great from the outside. It has a great quiet location and is very central with friendly and helpful staff. It was excellent value for money. I needed to start breakfast before the opening time and the staff were very helpful.

The room was quite tired and basic. it had an old crt style TV, Blankets instead of duvets, no head board on the bed. The shared facilities were on the floor above where my room was. no lifts.

The new renovated superior type room is nice, had tee there. Quite central location, quiet, otside of the tourist tracks.

Snobbish personal, too many trainees on weekend, could expect more friendly service for that money. No free wifi, construction works ongoing. Very modest breakfast, first day - no toasts, 2nd day toasts were offered when we were about to leave the breakfast room. Strange service.

The rest of the hotel was a building site. The reception staff were still learning. I was very unhappy to be woken in the night by a call from reception asking me to re-present my credit card which they had failed to swipe on check in.

It was very cheap, especially for such a good location. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really nice and had lots of choice.

Our room wasn't particularly nice, but then for the price we paid we couldn't ask for better, and it was still clean! The downstairs facilities (showers/toilets etc) were out of order so we had to use the ones on another floor which was annoying during the night.

The staff- really friendly, polite and very helpful We were given one of the newly renovated rooms and it was great.

We got an excellent rate (73 pounds), and we couldn't believe our eyes when we opened the door to our room. Comfortable bed; great bathroom with a rainfall showerhead; a good size for the room; and all very clean. This was our favorite hotel (out of four) that we stayed at in England. If you can get a low rate, I highly recommend it.

No en-suite, in fact due to building works the nearest toilets were downstairs on the floor below. Also when we arrived our room was heated to about 100 degrees!

Room way very, very hot. Had to have heating switched off and keep window open all night to reduce stuffiness. Unfortunately this then allowed all the street noise to filter in all night. Not a good stay this time. Noisey bed

The desk staff can be a bit slow and inexperienced. One girl didnt know if my room faced the square or not , but also couldnt be bothered to find out. I always book via booking.com stating online that I want a room facing the square. However the staff never notice this when I arrive- very annoying!

Separate Shared Bathrooms Service at Breakfast was very poor, lots of staff stood around doing nothing. The hotel decor was very poor.
