On the Malone Rd.it is very adjacent to Sports grounds,University and a nice short walk into the city centre. There is a good transport service locally--Taxis and Buses. The hotel has always had good management with proper customer service and attention. The breakfast service was poor and most of the food had been cooked away in the kitchen some considerable time before we ordered it. This was not the first time I have mentioned it at reception also the tired attitude of the waitress was not great.

Excellent accomodation, rooms were very clean and extremely comfortable. We had a five course evening meal in the hotel's restaurant. The meal was very delicious, good value for money and I would highly recommend dining in the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and attentive, whilst providing a very efficient service on a such a busy night, New Years Eve. The showering facilities were inadequate and very poor. During our stay we phoned reception on the evening of arrival, asking why the water from the shower was cold after running the water for 30 minutes the water became lukewarm. The reception staff member advised us to leave the water running for as long as possible until it became warm as many people could be using their showering facilities also. The following morning we ran the water for over 45 minutes but the water was still freezing, cold. We were unable to shower in the morning. This is quite unacceptable especially for a 4* hotel as warm running water should be a basic necessity for all guests.

Nice, clean palce, close to university, museum and city center. Nice entertainment in the weekend evening, nice food, staff very helpful. Will be nice to know that car park isn't for free even if you r resident of the hotel. But price wasn't too bad. It is worth to put this information on web.

We were very impressed with the service and promptness of staff when we had a problem with the tv and the handle on the toilet. The hotel was very comfortable the evening meals were very good and the staff very pleasant and efficient we had a very good stay We were in a room over a tunnel which cars drove through to get to the car park and exit and had to buy ear plugs because cars drive over a metal manhole cover which bangs like a door slamming shut quite disturbing at 6am

The staff tried hard. A four star hotel - not this century! The hotel in general is very old and tired, the breakfast was similar and the location is not great. If it was promoted and priced as a three star it would be fair but overall we were very disappointed in this hotel compared to others in Ireland.

I was a very frequent business user of this hotel in the period of 1984- 1993 when ni was part of my sales territory and when I was based in Dublin. Back then I recall with fond memory the wonderful cuisine and ambience in the dining room, something which I hope you can re-create? I also was made very welcome, then and now - a truly warm Irish welcome awaits every guest at this hotel always. Because I registered from the uk address I now live at it was assumed I was British which is not the case. I also notice this time that the branding (the lovely sculpture in the hotel lobby on the stationery) is gone too. Perhaps it's nostalgia and your profile has now deliberately become more mass market, but what brought me back this time was familiarity of the location and I have to be honest in say that otherwise the experience was somewhat disappointing in 2011 when compared to the more family feeling of the hotel in the past.

Nice rooms. Quiet also The waiter in the lounge was not qualified for this job. He wanted to poor port in a lemonade glass, and further more he poored far too less in it. Also the same with the liquer, just a spoonfull was in the glass. The continental breakfast was poor, only one kind of plain bread .

The Hotel had a buss about it and very relaxing bar area Our room was terrible it cost £140 and there was no shower it was a shower head over a bath and the toilet had definitley not seen a cleaner before we arrived! The room was also a bit stuffy as the window opened a bit and I could smell rubish from outside as when I looked out there was a skip situated under the window. I wouldnt stay here again but as Belfast was so busy the date we had no choice but to book this hotel. I have stayed in the budget hotels in Belfast and they are by far superior !!
