Beds and polite hotel staff
hot rooms and difficult to open windows needed staff to do so couldnt find switch to turn on tv
The closeness of the hotel for my daughters graduation was perfect , staff very helpful and accommodating with letting us check in early and leaving our bags etc
Bedroom dated and needed modernising. Bathroom shower was broken so had to play with controls to get the right temp.
Nice hotel located very close to the University
Staff were very good and our tea on Saturday evening was also very good. I think the staff would enjoy seeing a few up grades ie a more welcoming lounge and dining room. However we would use the Wellington Park again, ps when I asked the receptionist about church times across the road in the Presbyterian church, they said they didnt know what time Mass was at !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The hotel needed some tidy up and a good power wash, nice pots just parked any place, could be more attractive in this lovely side of the city. The foyer could do with some fresh paint and a bit of reorganise so also could the dining room. I would suggest replacing baths with showers as there is so little room to enjoy a proper shower, also the shower was difficult to regulate and could be dangerous, however the bed room was clean and very comfortable.
Nice hotel, staff very helpful.
Bathroom could do with upgrade ie. tiles n seal along the bath and sink bit grubby and old looking.
Central location , Great food, really comfy bed . staff were lovely and friendly. would stay again .
The hotel was pretty near a nice restaurant.Staff were helpful.
I had mentioned when booking it was for my husbands 60th birthday thinking a little gesture may have been made, but nothing. Bathroom was bit tight with shower over bath.Menu wasnt up to much.Room was very hot with the heating off.
location and facilities
wifi password changed every day
Liked the large lounge area and pleasant staff
Lighting in bedroom was really bad. Making make up application very hard. No plug sockets near a mirror. Wall dominated by a massive flat screen tv which looked awful. Wouldn't say bedrooms were anywhere near 4 star :(
Upon departure I was given a bill to pay to for two breakfasts amounting to £24 . This was incorrect as firstly I was a single guest and secondly I did not go down for breakfast. When I told the women at reception this she did not believe me basically. I had to tell her nearly 5 times that it was not me. She insisted a couple came down and gave my room number. After 15 minutes of making me stand and wait and a couple of phone calls to what I believe was the restaurant and manager she let me leave without paying as if she was doing me a favour, saying "we do not usually let this happen" as in let me leave without paying as she clearly did not believe me. It was very unprofessional.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
No free Wi-Fi although when I asked for the code I was able to get it easily from reception.
Great room, amazing staff...
wifi crashed on a number of occasions
Nice room jus I've stayed in better 4**** . Great location.
Wifi didn't work in my room on 2nd floor . Real bad smell of urine in room as soon as we walked in . Room was quite old fashioned and not finished well enough for a 4**** hotel . Staff were helpful when I voiced my concerns
Amazing hotel, helpful friendly staff, upgraded to a fabulous room
Great location. Very friendly staff. One of our guys found himself naked (looking for toilet), in corridor. Staff took it all in their stride...........hilarious. Front duty manager (sorry forgot his name) knowledgeable and very helpful,
Bed was very large and comfortable and access to the university and city centre was very good.
Wifi was rather sporadic and dropped out often. The hotel itself is rather tired and would benefit from attention to decor and general repair.
its a run down hotel, needs investment in the rooms, whose commercial focus is principally the common areas which operate as a late night bar and bar/cafe during the day. Its very noisy at night and not relaxing at all during the day. Not recommended.
Breakfast staff totally uninterested All else very good
Location was good for US consulate which was the purpose of my visit. Lots of bars and restaurants in the area, but i found the foid at the hotel restauant and the service there good
Nice Hotel with a good location to the City, helpful staff.
Price was a bit high, if breakfast was included it would be more attractive.
I liked the location. There a lot of wasted space in lobby area... Maybe the owners would think of investing in a spa and beauty in that area..it would take a few years to get it promoted and the word, Out but it is the growing trend...there does need to be an overhaul done sooner rather than later or it will be left behind while other hotels flourish....the breakfast was top class and the service and manners of staff was very professional and friendly.
The single bed was too small and the mattress hard...I don't know about the double as my friends slept in it and would not comment as I was treating them..the idea would be to have mattress toppers ie. likethe raddison hotels....the carpets are very worn and dated....I think investing in a total refurbishment in the bathrooms would be necessary I stay in a lot of hotels .but I don't know what the owners are aiming for ..maybe they know and are getting out of it enough.. But for me if I was lucky enough own such a lovely establishment I would be there day and night bringing it up to date with the like of the canal court in newry. Just 1 example.
The room was quiet and the hotel is well located
The fact that 5 pounds was charged for parking and that even a continental breakfast was not included in the price. This is mean on the part of the hotel management.
