I had two brief stays at the hotel. So that I didn't have to bring it with me, I left my suit (in a suit bag) at reception, which was very useful. When I returned for my second stay, the zipper on the suit bag had been broken.

Reception staff very pleasant and helpful. Good location. Allowed us keep car parked when we went into city on morning we checked out.

window from bedroom overlooked wall and roof so no view but that was unavaoidable as hotel full and we had not paid for a view

The unfailing willingness and charm of all the staff. Delicious food available at any time too!

In spite of the smoking ban there is an unmistakeable smell of smoke in some areas

Poorly maintained rooms: deafening extractor fan; electrical socket not secured to wall; trouser press didn't close. Noise from Botanic Inn, past 2am (on a Wednesday).

Location.

Staff emptying recyclable waste bins from the hotel bars into bins below my room window, (bottles), early in the morning disturbing my sleep.
