It's location It was the owners house, this wasn't mentioned on details. There were dogs roaming around the house, and occasionally barking. I feel they should have had some music playing quietly in the dining room.

Wonderful family run hotel in a beautifully restored and maintained old house. Proprietor phoned us as we travelled to enquire whether we we would like dinner. We said yes which was a very good choice. Dinner was magnificent, served as a dinner-party table for six guests. Four courses with white, then red, wine chosen by the owner, preceded by drinks and followed by coffee in the lounge. This wonderful service and meal cost us £35 each. I would have happily paid twice that. The room was lovely too.

A comfortable hotel and very friendly couple running it ~ was an enjoyable stop-over on the way down to the North West of England and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet comfortable and welcoming stay. The owners were very welcoming and we enjoyed DBB ~ the evening meal was excellently cooked and presented with a first rate service. Menu and ingredients were first class.

Clean and calm. Our experience in this small "Deluxe Bedroom": It is possible to count all the springs in the matresses. If you go out for having a dinner, make shure that nobody turns off the heating even in the bathroom. After 9pm it's impossible to reheat the room. Attention: Not all the rooms have a shower! Breakfast is served from 8 to 9 o'clock. This "Hotel" is rather a high-priced guesthouse.

We found they only did fixed menu's for dinner. There was no bar in the place. I actually thought I had booked a hotel when to me it was a bed & breakfast.

The comfortable bed and easy to work shower. The owners were very attentive. Just a very minor point was that we felt that we had to be careful as everything in the Hotel was arranged so perfectly and was immaculate.

Our room was very comfortable and spacious with a large modern en suite. Breakfast was excellent quality and well presented. Owners were friendly and attentive. Our room was not very warm when we arrived, it took a long time to heat up, and dining room was quite cold in the morning as well

Der persönliche Kontakt, die Lage, Größe und Ausstattung des Zimmers, liebevolle Einrichtung, besonders hervorzuheben der geniale Teppichboden und das hochglanzpolierte Treppengeländer. Superruhig und erholsam.
