Staff were very helpful. Nice location close to town. Comfortable lounge area. Large bathrooms. Plenty of closet space. Parking. There was a large selection for breakfast but the scrambled eggs were microwaved and were quite awful!

The approach was impressive for guest house status, long drive and beautiful stonework of the building. The staff were friendly and there was a general feeling of trust, eg honesty bar, keys to property. Very clean, nice dining/breakfast room. Appetising food, breakfast buffet and nicely presented cooked breakfast. Well stocked ensuite. Definitely return.

Nothing special. Normal b&B. The house was nice too look at. "The owners" had gone too their own holiday. A little smell of cellar. The room was very cold (18nov) because the heat was off. When we wake up and went too the breakfastroom the heat was coming.

The whole stay was relaxing staff were very accomatating and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and the room was very nice and breakfast was good. Only stayed 1 night for a friends wedding but would recommend this hotel to others and would go back myself. Only complaint was that it is not very well signposted so took a little while to find on arriving in Pitlochry.

Our hosts were wonderful; it was the most wonderful experience staying there. It was near everything we came to Scotland to do. The views were excellent, the rooms were clean and very comfortable, it was easy to find, quiet and restful. The common areas encouraged us to hold conversations with other travelers. The house, rooms, and grounds were beautiful and at the end of the day it felt like we were coming home. The breakfasts were magnificent, and the staff was always courteous and helpful. The Wellwood house is everything a bed and breakfast should be.

Friendly staff, unobtrusive service, many personal touches to distinguish it from the chain hotels. Excellent breakfasts. Small enough to be friendly, but large enough not to have too much attention given to individual gueests, which can be wearing.

We were made very welcome by the friendly, attentive owners who offered advice and local knowledge and information. The house itself is very grand with lovely public rooms. Our bedrooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. All in all, our time away was very enjoyable and relaxing in the beautiful setting yet so handy for the centre of Pitlochry by foot and many other visitor spots by car.

We were made to feel very welcome. We liked the cosy lounge with the self- service bar as well as the well-appointed bedrooms and en suite with toiletries.

Clean, comfortable and good location. Parking space also a bonus. The shower in en suite was old fashioned and not terribly efficient.

Nice place, the lady spent time explaining everything we could do around the place and recomend a very good restaurant. Very warm welcome I think I did not read well when I reserved but bathroom were outside the room, to share with other guests. I did not expect that for 69 pounds but even though I enjoyed the stay

Maggi and Jim are the perfect hosts. The setting is gorgeous and the house is delightful. The service comes with a big smile and the breakfast is delicious. I had never been to Scotland before and I would recommend Wellwood and Pitlochry to anyone. There is loads to do in the village and surrounding area. The people are warm and friendly. The theatre is a real treat and only 10 minutes walk away.

Lovely old house set in very nice gardens, just off the main street in Pitlochry. The owners have been working on an extensive renovation of the house and are really in tune with its beautiful Victorian features. We had a good room overlooking the gardens. Breakfast - great! Facilities good and the staff friendly and helpful. The owner's suggested route to Ullapool was stunning, one of the highlights of our holiday.

Great setting and very welcoming. Good breakfast, but not very hot. The room was too small in the attic area of the house with a lot of stairs to climb. Noise from room next door very apparent.

We were only sorry we could stay for one night. Wellwood House is a Bed and Breakfast with style. The owners have done a good job restoring the House to its former glory and providing all that you would expect. We had a great nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. We will certainly stay there again and would have no hesitation in recommending Wellwood House to friends and family.

A beautiful building in a lovely setting. Rooms clean and well-appointed. Our room was in one of the turrets - very quirky and romantic but just a little on the small side. Breakfasts were excellent. Lounge facilities very good. A huge asset is the charm and courtesy of the owners who really help to make your stay as welcoming and fun as possible.
