Very welcoming and very nicely located for a walk into town for an evening meal. We would have liked to sample the Scottish Breakfasts but we were always doing something else.

Wellwood is a great example of the large Victorian house, stonebuilt in the Scottish baronial style. It is lovingly maintained by its friendly owners Maggi & Jim. Very clean & comfortable, with a good big breakfast to set you up for the day. Private parking for the car, and easy access to Pitlochry's high street for shopping and eating helped make our stay great fun. Thanks. We were helpfully moved to a bigger room with a firmer bed when we mentioned that the bed was softer than we were used to. No trouble, no fuss, just helpful service.

The hosts, Jim and Maggie took time to talk - we were treated like friends not just fleeting visitors. They made our wedding anniversary both memorable and enjoyable. The location is great - completely peaceful yet two minutes walk from shops, restraurants and pubs. Ten minutes walk to cycling and walking trails. The house and graden are magnificent. Breaksfast was excellent and service too, We will return!

This is a well maintained Victorian property with 12 rooms on 3 floors, run by a very friendly couple Maggi and Jim. Their hospitality was second to none, the breakfast was varied and delicious, and their advice on places to eat in Pitlochry was very helpful. My wife and I would definitely consider returning, especially if we were staying in the tower again!

Staff were very helpful. Nice location close to town. Comfortable lounge area. Large bathrooms. Plenty of closet space. Parking. There was a large selection for breakfast but the scrambled eggs were microwaved and were quite awful!

The approach was impressive for guest house status, long drive and beautiful stonework of the building. The staff were friendly and there was a general feeling of trust, eg honesty bar, keys to property. Very clean, nice dining/breakfast room. Appetising food, breakfast buffet and nicely presented cooked breakfast. Well stocked ensuite. Definitely return.

The whole stay was relaxing staff were very accomatating and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and the room was very nice and breakfast was good. Only stayed 1 night for a friends wedding but would recommend this hotel to others and would go back myself. Only complaint was that it is not very well signposted so took a little while to find on arriving in Pitlochry.

Our hosts were wonderful; it was the most wonderful experience staying there. It was near everything we came to Scotland to do. The views were excellent, the rooms were clean and very comfortable, it was easy to find, quiet and restful. The common areas encouraged us to hold conversations with other travelers. The house, rooms, and grounds were beautiful and at the end of the day it felt like we were coming home. The breakfasts were magnificent, and the staff was always courteous and helpful. The Wellwood house is everything a bed and breakfast should be.

Friendly staff, unobtrusive service, many personal touches to distinguish it from the chain hotels. Excellent breakfasts. Small enough to be friendly, but large enough not to have too much attention given to individual gueests, which can be wearing.
