Rebuilt in 1750, this house has a tranquil setting in the rural village of Aldbrough. It offers 4-star accommodation, free Wi-Fi, and secure free parking on site. It warm warm & clean and the owners were helpful. Good value with an appetising breakfast. Plenty of parking Confused where the entrance was. It was pouring with rain when we arrived at the address and found the front of the hotel. This was only accessed by steep and rickety steps. Potentially dangerous if we had taken our case with us. The door was locked and uninviting. It turned out the entrance and car park was in a totally different place some three turns away. I suggest they change the postal address of the hotel to reflect where you have to go.

Breakfast was okay. Smell of dogs. Very dark on approach to the entrance at night - needs a sensor light. Reception area very untidy. Gardens very unkept and untidy. Damp patches in room. Cob webs in various corners.

Style of interior very interesting, with some old features and varied paintings and artwork of different styles and eras. Comfortable room and bed - light and airy. Everything needed was there and good views of open fields and village surrounds. Enjoyed our breakfast. Shower area of room due for an upgrading, but shower itself worked well.

Very friendly I had the room with the 4 poster bed and more I was very suprised if you go to Wentworth see if you can book this room or should I say suite. Location was very good tiny village with English fish and chip shop and a few pubs, but it was with easy reach of Beverley and Hornsea. Breakfast was really good full English

We have stayed on three previous occasions and it always brings back memories as I lived in Aldbrough for 29 years. It was owned by my Grandfather until the 1970's and myself and my brother and sisters spent many happy times there and in the Woodland until it was transformed into part housing estate. It has been beautifully transformed from the private residence it was in the earlier years. The owners serve a wonderful breakfast and have Bar facilities for a cosy evening and chat. A most enjoyable place with always a welcome greeting.

Gut eingerichtetes, großes Zimmer. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Bett etwas zu weich und für große Menschen zu klein, da am Fußende geschlossen.
