“Welcome great, good location for our needs clean and comfortable”
John,
Launceston
On almost a 1-acre property, Wentworth House is just a 15-minute walk from central Bath. It offers free parking, a heated outdoor pool and a hot tub with views out over the valley. All rooms at Wentworth are traditionally furnished and neutrally decorated. Each room has a private bathroom, a TV, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Nazara Bath restaurant uses fresh, local produce as well as herbs from the hotel’s grounds to create a varied menu. A full English breakfast is served in the dining room which features a traditional bay window with views out over the grounds. Bath Spa Train Station and the historic Roman Baths are just over 1-mile from the guesthouse. The Theater Royal Bath is less than a 10-minute drive away. Location was ok, breakfast was reasonable. Room not serviced or cleaned during whole of stay, noisy private function on Saturday which we were not told about, staff with "couldn't care less" attitude.

Good value for money & the location is just a small walk into city, but can be hard work walking back to hotel has its all up hill, but it wouldn't stop me from staying there & its only £4-£5 taxi fare if you chose not to walk back. We had the luxury four poster bedroom with a small conservatory onto the back garden which was a great suprise. The only critisim I have is the bed is so uncomfortable and really crecks...either matress needs changing or the four poster needs a bit of attention!!!

The staff was polite and friendly. Very old fashion hotel and room with old furniture and bed. Far from the centre (20 min walking up the hill). Poor quality breakfast. Freezing cold with heating switched off until early evening. No housekeeping service for 2 nights without notifications. The room was worth a maximum of £80 with breakfast, not £110

We booked a Superior Double Room with Four Poster Bed. On arrival we could not believe that this room had a shower but no bath. We changed to a smaller room with a bath but the bath was not full size but still took a full 15 minutes to fill with water.

The room was O.K it had a conservatory attached with two comfortable chairs which were welcome after a full day of walking. The breakfast was poor with a limited choice. The central heating came on late in the evening so it went quite cold aroun 6.00pm and very warm about 10.00pm.

location and price I got bitten in the middle of the night 14 places all over my arm back and legs. I came up in red lumps and it has taken over a week for the bites to calm down. I woke up at 4am to check my bed but could not see anything. The whole week I was having to rub in bite cream and take tablets to calm the bites down. Also hot water was intermittant and a plug socket did not work where the kettle was plugged in.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the room was spacious and clean. The food was very basic, some of it overcooked. The room needed refurbishing, as the decor was tired and old. We felt the room was overpriced because some of the decor was more than 20 years old, and the bed was uncomfortable. The mattress dipped in the middle, which didn't make for a good nights' sleep.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, we even had an additional room with armchairs and a settee to sit in after our meal. The breakfast was delicious and the surroundings superb.

Very nice accommodation. Lovely Manager Colin. But unfortunately kitchen not up and running for evening meals. Heating in bedroom not on and when it was it was seemed hit and miss. Bedroom very pleasant. Bed very comfortable especially as in past had terribly uncomfortable experiences in posh hotels! Bedding delightful. As they advise centre of Bath is 15 mins walk. Lovely healthy walk down hill and good invigorating healthy walk back up. Just what we wanted! We WILL be back. Colin seems very capable enthusiastic Manager whom we feel will turn the hotel around for the owners.

Old looking and plain with broken window at door first impression from outside, ordinary, clean, would be nice in summer with pool and spa open. Recently redecorated. Broken window wass frist impression which made the hotel look old and tatty.

Having read reviews and I have little understanding in what people expect. We were in a 2 star hotel, we had value for money, the room was comfortable but if I had paid £750 per night I may be a bit disapointed, loved the little bar, lovely breakfast and lovely attention. Centre of town, parking facilities, what more do you want? Thank you Had to wait 10 minutes for the water to get hot for a shower. No problem. Just put the tele on have a cup of coffee and relax. Might be a bit upset if no hot water did not arrive but it did.

i think our one nights stay turned out to be hugely over priced. The room was very small, unclean and cold and the hotel its self was very very quiet with no sighn of staff around and no atmosphere and no services such as the bar were made available to us. I think the building was old fashioned and poorly kept for such a high charging guest houst when the quality of stay is up to that of a hostel!

The location was excellent and the cooked breakfast was excellent. However, to arrive at 6pm to be told that there was no evening meal and the chef had gone home because there were no orders for dinner by 5pm was quite rediculous and the bar wasn't open forcing me to go out for dinner. After a 41/2 hour drive, I was not impressed. Would not use the hotel again for this reason. Had I been advised in advance, I could have made a decision based on this information.
