staff helpful and friendly room always cleaned ease of parking
Checkin had no record of my booking through your website so made to feel as if I was trying to pull a fast one!
Bed was extremely comfortable as was the bedding. Room and bathroom very large, plenty of storage space. Water very hot.
Shower was poor - ended up having to bath. Breakfast buffet congealing - very unappetising.
A bit outdated
Breakfast was very good. Room size was very good.
The whole place including the room was too hot. The decor needs brought up to date
The outdoor pool and health centre, and the location. Walking distance from the centre of bournemouth and beaches. Staff friendly and helpful. Still good value for money overall if you don't expect too much. Good breakfast.
The health centre needs urgent renovation. The bedrooms feel dated and the beds are not very comfortable.
hotels position on Westcliffe road. breakfast very good.
we were placed in the annexe, going to the rooms was like walking through a maze. We were not impressed with the rooms ,bathroom had no blind or curtain in the room, shower head was spraying water everywhere all the doors were noisy and noisy when closing ,disturbing us at night. This hotel is in desperate need of a refurbishment .
tablecloths in dining room were very creased. evening meal was not good. shower in room did not work well
Stayed here before knew what to expect good service good breakfast wasn't dissapointed
Some one needs to be on hand to replenish breakfast
Breakfast offered a very good selection of choices.
Nobody there had a good understanding of English. Waiting staff were hanging around and not aware of their job. Our room and most of the corridors and hallways were quite dirty. A very disappointing visit. This place had a good reputation some years ago, but the management seem to have lost their way.
Staff were friendly.
The hotel looked a bit tired in some areas and could do with updating. The shower in our room didn't work on morning of checkout, not enough milk supplied for tea and coffee, and could do with leaving an extra toilet roll in bathroom.
The bedroom were not clean, we changed bedding twice & the had to change rooms, ended up sleeping on top of bedding. Had to argue for a refund. Stay here at your peril.
Good service, helpful friendly staff.
Bathroom was grubby.
Location , value for money.friendly and helpfull staff.
Felt hotel was a bit dated and certain parts could do with lick of paint. Leisure facilities could do with being upgraded.
The food was good Good location Car Parking Friendly staff
hotel was generally tired and needs upgrading Bathroom shower temperature varied form cold to scolding and that is conforming to the instructions. Extremely poor water pressure. Staff although friendly lacked direction
This Hotel was very comfortable and the room we had was stunning. Free Parking and central to Bournemouth
Nothing to dislike
Absolutely nothing !
The place is old and tatty. Desperately needs redecoration and a coat of paint. They gave us a room that had no running water in the shower. They then spent half a day hammering on the tap which caused a leak on the floor below. Then had the nerve to insult us about it as if it were our fault. Never apologized, never offered another room, never offered anything. There are dozens of hotels in Bournemouth and propably all of them are better than this dump.
Food was good
Unhelpful staff for disabled
Perfect location. Good facilities, pool etc.
Staff we're ok, not very welcoming on arrival. Being woken up by the window cleaner banging against the window at 8 o'clock wasn't ideal.
Parking,location leisure facilities
Dirty carpet, room over kitchens, therefore noisy fans and no view.the wallpaper was stained and so was the headboard on the bed.generally drab and unpleasant.
staff very helpful and service was good, bars and lounges very spacious
hotel a bit tired in need or renovation
Location, staff, food and cleanliness
Rooms need decorating and updating
On arrival to The Wessex Hotel we were greeted by the young Receptionist who was most welcoming, charming and extremley helpful, a credit to the Hotel. The facitlies were fantastic. The Premier rooms were huge and well presented. We would definatley return!
Location and breakfast
Noisy guests all night pair of old socks stuffed down side if bed looked like they'd bend there for a year! Not a premier room!
We like the bar area as you enter, the staff are very friendly and helpful. We like that there is lots of room to park the car with no charge. Good position to walk to the town and beach.
The decor needs updating in the rooms, but you could say this about most seaside hotels.
