size of room, newly decorated, new owners trying hard to upgrade the property. Ideal location for BIC
smell of paint in room, motor noise throughout the night (room 185)
We booked Sunday to Tuesday after Christmas for a change of location (as we did last year) for ourselves & our two sons with their wives (plus one grandson)! Hotel is comfortable, good location for beach, parks and shopping, lovely breakfast, plenty of parking, good rooms, pleasant staff (& we had an upgrade for the room with the cot).
Pool was a little chilly (especially for our 2.5 year old grandson). Sauna not working but my husband and son had a steam room instead. Hot water seemed to 'run out' in the Premium Room area later on.
Good value for what we paid. Served our purpose well: breakfast OK, room OK, staff polite and helpful. WiFi worked well.
The place is a bit shabby and creaky, but since it's clean enough you can live with that. What will not do, though is the smokers' debris on the front steps, and in particular the foul bins for fag ends. Not a nice job for staff, for sure, but the manager needs to get a grip on sorting this out fast!
The hotel was excellent with good facilities, the staff were very helpful. Would definately return in the future.
The location was ideal for the BIC, shops, beach and pier. The hotel was comfortable and well staffed. The buffet breakfast was excellent.
We had a twin room, and I found my bed to be on the small side and not that comfortable, my wife found hers to be ok. It was not too bad for the one night. The decor was 'tired', but not scruffy.
A room with a sea view the size of a ballroom.firm mattress. If you want modern glitzy don't come here if you like old but sadly in need of some TLC.this is ideal Very friendly and helpful bar manager.who told us the hotel is under new management / ownership and they are investing lots of cash. I had asked for skimmed milk someone went and got it. Individual cooked breakfast not buffet style.Free parking. Biscuits in room. Huge bath.good leisure facilities.
Dry thin sliced bread beside the toaster.Cheap brand of condiments sugar tea but good coffee Management staff seem efficient but distant but really explained by the Christmas meal bookings.
The staff were friendly. The hotel was lovely and warm. our room was large. ?The food was excellent
The hotel was very dated and the leisure centre was cold and limited.
we had a nice large room there was a fridge that was handy and a sofa so we could sit on comfortably
The bed was a bit hard the room could do with decorating
Brill staff very helpful Good value for money Hotel is very shabby but still a good experience for price
Linen on beds very shabby and pillows very lumpy
Spacious room with large separate bathroom. Excellent breakfast with wide choice included in price. Good location for BIC Excellent value for money
Bar area characterless, lacking in comfort and menu choice limited so eat elsewhere.
Ease of entry/exit Good size rooms Enjoyable breakfast
Parking a little tight
The room was smart. Breakfast very good
All staff made you welcome
Noisy extractor fan in the bathroom. Radiator in the bedroom not working
Tired looking swimming pool.
Friendly staff, perfect location and ample free parking
No WiFi in the rooms and there is a £6 for one hour charge in public areas.
The hotel was nice and spacious , rooms where large, good food.
Postcode of hotel sends you to a different road, when windy it whistles through the windows of the bedroom.
The location was the only good thing about the hotel.
On arrival. I visited the public toilets, it was mid day and they were strewn with paper all over the floor, I don.t think they had been cleaned. The tablecloths at breakfast although clean had not been ironed which made the whole room look shabby. The Hotel needs a thorough refurbishment.
Sea view. Excellent food.
Needs decorating. Pipes banging.
Very large comfortable room Dinner excellent choice and presentation Staff very attentive
Breakfast perhaps not as hot as we would have liked but very good choice
the gym facilities and pool
the restaurant ran out of sausages at breakfast! giggles
The staff were very friendly . Breakfast was really good and plenty to choose from . Bar and lounge area were comfortable . Parking was good . Would stay again when in Bournemouth value for money .
Good location, large spacious room and bathroom. Friendly staff and good value for money. Breakfast excellent.
Hotel decor is a little tired and the dinner menu was limited with few choices.
