The room we were given on arrival was quite small, but the staff were happy to upgrade it to a much bigger and nicer room. Also we loved having use of the steam room, sauna and swimming pool. There's plenty of restaurants to choose from for eating. Also the beach and Oceanarium are great. The food in the hotel wasn't great, the breakfast was ok, there was a large range of things to choose from, including continental or full english or both if you wanted, also they had a wide range of teas. I wouldn't recommend eating a main meal there as it wasn't up to much, it all seemed to be microwaved.

Despite it being May, two evenings were quite cold; and we would have liked heating in our room to have been available before 7pm

The restaurant was spacious and comfortable and the food was very well cooked and tasty. The room (363) was comfortable but the furnishings were a bit tired. The staff were very friendly and helpful. On my second morning at breakfast at 8.15 I found the food was not very hot. By the time I was half way through my meal, it was almost cold.

Good location, free parking Outside pool wasn't open on bank holiday week-end despite advertised May-Sept. Very disappointing as was major selling point. Told by one staff OK to go outside on a lounge chair, then told off by another to get back inside. No apologies from anyone. Main lift didn't work, creaky floors.

We have stayed here 3 times now so love the location, ample car parking so no worry if you go out for the day. Self service breakfast and the lounge area. The staff are always very helpful. We hoped to use the outdoor pool and seating area as the weather was fnatastic - sadly it was still covered over : [ The lift by reception was not working all the wkend. The rooms really need an update with the furniture and bathrooms again are dated. We were sad that the outside pool area was closed for our stay over the bank holiday weekend as the weather was brill. Next time i'm sure though

the breakfast choice was excellent and the hotel was very pleasant, the staff were friendly and helpful. It is in a good location for all local facilities. The floor boards were very creaky throughout the whole hotel .When we booked we asked for a room on the ground floor as my partner is disabled but we had to have one on the first floor and the lift by reception was out of order so we had to walk round to another lift which was a few meters walk.

Situation, service and breakfast excellent. Prices for drinks in the hotel bar were the most expensive we have ever come across. Indoor pool was not clean and could do with refurbishing

Breakfast was set up really well. Parking at hotel. Lift was not working and we have a 1 year old which meant carrying him and the pram up and down the stairs. Room was extremely dated and could do with a refresh.

The Hotel was set in a ideal location just on the edge of the town and seafront. It has a great leisure club, lovely warm swimming pool gym keep fit studio with dance classes etc. There was a good selection of good food on offer. Nice bar and reception area. Plentiful free parking. We plan to visit again to the same Hotel later in the summer. First impressions are everything! flaky paint on outside and they need a gardener!! The rooms although very clean are tired and the floor boards are terrible, very very squeaky. Not really a major gripe but a little irritating, its an older hotel so probably nothing they can remedy.

Liked the size of the room. The sub standard breakfast. Previously served tea and coffee now a 'help yourself' machine. Very poor quality coffee and tea and it was dangerously positioned. I got bumped by a waitress coming out of a doirway

This hotel was in a good location, easy to find and free parking. Clean and comfortable with Freindly staff. English Breakfast was too "mass produced" so lacked any quality

Staff Space Car Parking I have stayed twice a year for over 10 years - and slowly it has slipped in standard - when Forestdale owned the hotel you had regular staff who remembered you - it was more friendly and cleaner - and had yellow ducks in the bathrooms - and biscuits - better choice of food at dinner and would let you cash Debit cards but not now - but I'll stay again as travelling on my own I like a busy hotel

We have stayed at this hotel last year and enjoyed it. Its close to the beach and the town. We stayed in a premium room this time and was very impressed with the size of the room. Nothing really, maybe could do with a lick of paint in some of the rooms, but that didn't bother us.
