Very nice 3rd floor room with sea view, recently refurbished. Very friendly staff and housekeeping found and returned my laptop charger after I left.
Wi-fi didn't work in the room at all - I choose hotels specifically with wi-fi so very frustrating. No hot water in the morning - only lukewarm.
We stayed at West Beach for one night with friends from abroad and had a great time. The room was perfect for a short trip a good size and very clean. The staff were friendly and very accommodating.
The hallway flooring could do with a clean .....
The bathroom looked very nice.
Lots of noice from the club downstairs. The floor of the room kept shaking from the music that was playing in the club. I went twice to the reception to ask how long it would last for. The 1st time they said until 11pm, and when I went downstairs for the 2nd time around midnight they finally offered to give me another room away from the club. Finally managed to fall asleep around 1am.
I like this hotel because of the great location at an affordable rate. Had an added bonus whilst staying this time to have a sea view. Very spacious rooms, staff always polite. Will definitely be booking again.
LOcation was quite good, ideally suited close to Aisan restaurants especially the Chineese China Garden (excellent food there!)
The place was quite dirty, hallways are poor decor, shabby stained carpets, with noisy guests - and its above a night club !! The cups in the room were stained and the floor level between the room and corridor were 2 inches difference - causing us to trip on entry... The Hotel seems like it is used a lot by Hen/Stag party groups?
i loved the location of the hotel, the room was spacous,
the road outside the hotel was extremely noisey and busy, so i found it hard to get a good nights sleep or have the windows open also the first night there the fire alarm went off at 04.43am set off accidently by 1 of the staff,
The room was not clean, there was a lot of dirt and dust in room.We even found items left by previous visitor, make up and nail varnish on floor. The window was cracked. The shower was very badly positioned in corner had to lean right to wall to wash. There was a lot of noise early due to building works oposite. overal not a pleasant stay.
The only thing we didn't like was that the decor in all of the hotel bar the rooms was very dated and in a poor state. It let the rest of the hotel down. Peeling paint, stained carpets and dirty walls
The rooms were really clean and well presented. We had a room at the front of the hotel with excellent views. The hotel seems to be in the process on investing in refurbishment and it is lovely and fresh where it has been completed. Not having book out until 11 am was nice for a more relaxing, less rushed weekend.
The room was very hot even with the windows open. The furniture was limited and no headboard or side tables meant that it was diffcult to sit and watch. TV or read. The lack of parking meant a huge extra expense, £20 per 24 hours at the nearest car park, so this and the breakfast suppliment, need factoring in if you are on a budget. The restaurant next door does bigger and cheaper breakfasts.
bathroom, living room,
single bed together,
On arrival I was a bit concerned as it felt 'hostely' but the room was sparkly clean, refurbished with lovely views of the sea. Even the towels were sumptuous.
It was a bit noisy from the road - but to be expected and worth it for the location and the sea view!
Good location, right on the seafront and very near to the city centre
It wasn't very clean - the windows especially were dirty and smeared, and there were mould patches on the beds and the carpet
Location, New Bathroom, Price, Staff!
Wifi signal was pretty bad in the room.
no wifi in room poor tv signal missing night table
Noise of traffic
Friendly staff and amazing hotel rooms
Good location, recently decorated bedroom, new looking bathroom, plenty of wardrobe space, friendly staff
wifi didn't work, public areas in poor condition
Location was good, but that was pretty much it. Staff were friendly enough.
There were hairs and dirt in and around the toilet. It was incredibly noisy. Not good insulation so could hear noise from the street and from other hotel guests. There was only luke warm water, so we could not have a hot shower.
You will never be late in the morning.
Sometimes it's nice to sleep in. And the wifi never connected unless the front desk resets the routers in a specific order.
The beach view was perfect and a clean environment.
The wi-Fi signal is not good, difficult to connect and the dirty water does not flow out quickly while bathing - you could try unblocking the outlet.
Location Room Cleanliness Staff
Honestly someone left the worst review in the booklet in our room. I can only go on how I found the place and all was fine. Ignore the negative people I've lived in worse places around Brighton and Hove.
Decent for price, just ask not to be above bins as very noisy when collected by different reuse collection trucks from 5am
Restaurant on site. Asked for extra tea and coffee, was no problem and was very quiet.
