Friendly staff and the food was very good. Breakfasts were very filling.
Bar and food very good
The trainee waiters rolling her eyes at my partner as she had special dietary requirements at breakfast. The rest of staff where excellent Our room was above the kitchen and was very noisy until 1am and the breakfast staff arrived at 5.30.
Ideal location, friendly staff, nice social areas with free wifi and good food.
Single room had a single bed without a bedside cabinet or light, bathroom is really small and I was subjected to traffic noise all night long. The room needs a complete over haul, especially the bathroom and poor value for money at £65 per night.
Nothing in particular
the staff is very friendly...
i can hear the guest in the other rooms, the child, the cars, everything...real noisy rooms.i wake up 7 in the morning is impossible sleep... the hot water in my room didn't work and i went to take a shower in another room.
Huge comfy bed. Great breakfast.
Breakfast was great! The room was small but nicely decorated and clean. Staff were lovely and helpful. We did NOT complain about the shower or other things we have mentionned ... life's too short.
The street noise was significant both morning and night. The bar noise downstairs (Sat night) meant that we had to stay up till 1am so we could sleep. The shower control was impossible to adjust due to the different water pressure supplying the shower which meant that it took about 5 minutes to get the right temperature and then the pressure was not that great. My partner gave up and just had baths. The panel heater was toasting in the room but the bathroom had no heater and was freezing (Dec) as was the bathroom floor. The single glazed sash and case windows in the bedroom and bathroom radiated coldness and were completely full of condensation.
Staff were great, breakfast was good and wifi was a really good signal. Thanks
Bathroom was a bit small and no bath.
Great breakfast Comfortable room Very friendly staff
Price of a pint unbelievable Since its upgrade the downstairs area had lost much of its character and charm. Lots of ways to connect media to TV but no TV reception
Room was well decorated ,great hot shower, room was modern and a great comfy bed . but overall I would 110% stay again and I recommended to a freind ,great nite ,great staff very helpfull
TV signal was poor,
Lovely place , very nice food, we will be back
The staff, the location and the choice and quality of the food and drink were all to the same high standard as on my previous visit.
Bedrooms were warm and comfortable enough, but bathrooms very, very tight for larger than average guests such as two members of my party (avoid rooms 6 and 9 for this reason) while room 9 had bedside lights that didn't work and room 6 had none at all.
Tha hotel in general was good and staff friendly
The price of the drinks were expensive compared to the local pubs. There was £1.00 more expensive for a pint of lager. The toilet was fine and was spotlessly clean, my only comment about room no4 was that the towel rail was too close to the toilet pan and both myself and my wife were burnt when using the toilet.
From check in to check out all staff were very friendly and competent. Lovely bar and menu. Very clean. Rooms slightly small but comfortable. Would stay here again.
Shower was not good.
The highly accommodating staff.
The positive and caring approach of the staff. My wife is disabled and looked after her needs excellently
Not a lot!
Staff were very pleasant and the food was good. The room I had was clean and well presented. Hotel is well placed for transport links, and I would use this hotel again.
Lack of hot water but other than this no complaints.
The large car park and the excellent breakfast also the staff were first class
No double glazing on the rooms overlooking the main road very noisy from 5.30 am
helpful, friendly and cheerful staff. central location. quiet in rooms & corridors.
I'm a tea drinker and at breakfast the 'hot water' thermos flask had obviously been used previously for coffee (flasks are interchangeable). The taint of coffee stays a long time in the flask and thus taints the taste of the water. As a result my tea was really unpleasant.
The food and the one or two of the staff.
The staff are nice and the food was good, but if you're looking for a peaceful nights sleep, this is not the place for you. The noise of chairs moving on the wooden floor in the restaurant beneath my room out my teeth on edge and woke me constantly; until at 2am I gave up and drove 300 through the night, stopping at the services, where I had a better 2 hours sleep in my car, than I did diting my entire 2 night stay at this hotel! Also be prepared for the fact nobody can be found after 2am, so escaping the hotel was a challenge in itself. I managed to escape through a fire exit and out a back gate!!! Never again!
the staff at this hotel are amazing, they were extremley pleasant and polite. the staff are very welcoming and food was very nice with a good choice on the menu. breakfast was plentiful and had a nice atmosphere.
although i was booked into a single room, the room was very small and the noise from the traffic could be heard all night. disapointing
Great food. Lovely atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. A really welcoming place with good parking.
We had a lovely room EXCEPT the shower room was so small that if the heated towel rail has been on you would have burned your left thigh !!!!!!
Booking in via public bar & lack of reception
friendly helpful staff good location...easy to find good food in restaurant value for money
nothing major but noisy plumbing and weak shower pressure minor issues
