“ Everything! Dawn was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. She was happy to go the extra mile for us. The room was bright, airy and gorgeous, the shower room was amazing, the views superb. The whole experience was nothing but pleasant. The B & B is exceptionally clean. I fell in love with the doggies too! We will be coming again!! ”

Overlooking Hope Park and less than 10 minutes’ walk from beautiful Derwentwater, West View offers breakfasts cooked to order. Just a 5-minute walk from Keswick’s centre, it provides cosily furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi. Light and elegant, every room at West View has a sleek, modern bathroom with luxury toiletries from The Soap Company and fresh, white towels. Rooms also provide a flat-screen TV, a hairdryer and a clock radio. Some rooms enjoy fantastic fell views. Breakfasts is freshly made each morning and served in the dining room with views across the park to Causey Pike and Grizedale Pike. Hearty, full English breakfasts are provided, along with homemade fruit salad and an extensive continental selection. The guest lounge enjoys beautiful fell views and houses a collection of books, a range of World War I medicinal memorabilia and magic lantern projectors. The scenic Theatre by the Lake is less than 10 minutes’ walk away, and guests can enjoy boat rides on nearby Derwentwater. Paul and Dawn for their hospitality, knowledge of the area, nothing was a problem for them, happy to help. Location, beautiful, ideal Food - fabulous including their home made jams/marmalade Bike storage Definitely return and will definitely recommend

Except I've come home and have now got to spend money on re-decorating my bedroom as I loved the one at West View so much!!

A lovely place to stay. Owners could not be more helpful. Most welcoming.Very comfortable. Very close to the theatre by the lake.We especially liked the guest lounge over looking the lake.

lovely friendly landlady with lots of local knowledge. Fantastic homemade jams and marmalade for breakfast! Bit cold in the morning as heating didn't come on til 7am but I was staying there at the start on March! would not be problem in warmer weather.
