Park Inn by Radisson Birmingham West, M5 J1  

Litter in the room from previous guest. Light in room entrance had failed. Shower hose leaking.

Staff were polite and nice. One of the staff at the dinning area was very friendly and greeted me wherever she saw me. It was nice to see her hospitality. Also the room was clean and tidy.

The area where the hotel located did not look so safe and also quite far from town centre. I suppose it's suited for people who have been travelling by car.

We met there with our son and were all very impressed with the staff. They are friendly, interested and helpful. The reception staff on arrival, the restaurant where Jaime was a delight, the breakfast team and on check out we were impressed. Oh, forgot the spa reception, very helpful too.

Only minor addition that would be helpful is a shower cap due to shower design.

I liked the hotel and its the second time I've stayed this month but the thing that brings me back is the sports / holistic spa therapy by Anita there...I've been to quite a few but she excels in her job...I will definitely go again!

The bathroom shower had run out of shower gel. I know the room was checked obviously because of the bed etc but that must have been missed off their checklist.

The staff could not have done anymore to help, even moving us away from a noisy stag group. the hotel was central to m5/m6 but in a quiet area...car is a must...15mins from dude castle and zoo which is a must!!

Gym/spa...very busy and run down, did not use sauna or steam room due to ppl staying in there and it being over crowded...food prices high in hotel but we ate out using vouchers

staff was fab, food was fab, service fab, location great, pet friendly..just what i needed even my dog loved it here. everything was just great. I will definately be going back.

The spa treatment was very good. staff very friendly. not overly priced

Room service menu was limited and I ended up with a twin room as the hotel had overbooked despite booking a double room.

RESTRICTIVE age conditions on, use of pool and hot tub. waiting staff setting out knifes and forks that they had droped on floor,condition of paint work.

The hotel itself was very clean and tidy and our room was comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, lots of variety and the staff were great. The pool was clean albeit slightly busy and the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were small but lovely.

Some of the staff weren't as friendly and helpful as they could have been although most were really great.

All staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The room was very clean, tidy and care had been taken to make sure this was so. My request for a room away from the Motorway side of the hotel was no problem for the staff. It was a comfortable stay.

My only dislike, which probably can't be changed, is the way the doors can't be closed without slamming them. Fair enough this is probably something I would be thankful for if there were something like a fire as I am not aware whether these were fire doors or not. The point I'm trying to make is, come 7am everybody slams their doors so, don't expect to stay asleep any longer than this. It's probably more design than anything else as the doors are very heavy. The hotel is great for business but not for a weekend away if you're expecting a lie in.

Clean comfortable room with good tv friendly staff and good bar food

Booked this hotel for the leisure centre. If you want a leisure centre pick another hotel ! probably the worst and dirtiest I have ever seen

Excellent location so near the M5 Junction 1 but walking distance to a great country park(Sandwell) with bike hire, ropes course, farm etc.

Leisure centre opening hours on a Bank holiday were not clear so missed a swim as the centre closed at 4pm

Fast access to motorway M5. Water in swimming pool was nicely warm.

Our room was very small. There was a problem to lock some lockers in changing room at the swimming pool/gym.

Carpets on corridor and bedroom worn and stained not much breakfast left when hotel full and waited ages for them to replenish food so gave up waiting

Very friendly staff, good parking, my room was very quiet, when I rang hotel receptionist suggested a room that would suit me as I wasn't feeling well. She also made sure the heat was on too for me like I requested. Top marks for being do helpful. Room was bright, clean and had a comfy bed too. It was nice to see a good size electronic safe supplied which was very easy to use. Trouser Press was in the room also. I had a good nights rest and really enjoyed my stay over 2 nights. This is one of the better 3* hotels I have stayed in so thumbs up I say especially if there are deals available. :-)

Shower hose & head was cracked and had clear tape wrapped around it so water was leaking out. One of the adjustable spot lights was slightly damaged with a small part missing but being an engineer it's the sort of things I pick up on straight away. In all fairness, the receptionist thanked me for reporting these things and said she would have then rectified. The restaurant area was rather cold but it was below freezing outside with a huge amount of snow. They had to supply portable heaters to try and warm the area up. The breakfast was satisfactory but I've had a much better and tastier choice elsewhere. Would I stay there again? Probably yes because overall it is a nice looking hotel with pleasant staff and the facilities were pretty good. Didn't manage to make use of all Leisure facilities due to not being very well so maybe in my next visit.
