Bright and stylish, this modern hotel is just minutes from junction 9 of the M6 and Bescot Stadium Railway Station, offering direct trains to Birmingham city centre with links to the NEC and airport.
Score from 228 reviews Good
Although no smoking requested the room smelled so badly of smoke that my asthmatic daughter was unable to sleep in there and there was no other room available because they were overbooked. Staff could not cope with the extremely busy hotel.
Friendly staff and sorted problems very quickly. Room small but functional. Looked newly refurbished Good location for where we were going and easy to find
Freezing cold room and heating not working on whole floor but rang reception and were moved to another room straightaway. Restaurant closed by 9pm and we were late arrival but able to order restaurant food at bar. Seemed expensive. Would have had breakfast had it been cheaper. No hair dryer, again was brought one within a matter of minutes.
All shocking, no good points
Gym was well equipped.
Room was small and dated. Hotel does have a gym which was quite nice. Food was poor in the restaurant, bar had the usual suspects hotel chain largers etc nothing from local sources. Also nothing in walking distance. Overall it's ok but for the money I have stayed in much nicer hotels.
Staff very friendly
Poorly lit room and very small. No bedside light. Bed uncomfortable.
The size of the bed is the only good thing.
There was no compromise with time and no consideration it was our wedding and the service was dreadful we had room service which when rang was not provided had a evening meal and breakfast prebooked which we did not get then was charged for a bottle of coke. I would never book with park inn or radison group or ever recommend anyone we were so disappointed our wedding night and the next morning the first day of out married life. Park inn and it's staff have made it a horrid memory.
Staff had the cheek to check room before we checked out for damages!! The polish woman with dark hair bad bad attitude!!
Room very clean and comfortable. Taxi only £12 into Birmingham.
Room was a small but did the job. Spa was little dated and always busy with the older man. One member of staff wanted to charge £3.50 for ice to the room!
Pool had stone chippins in it. Not good for health and safety.
Everything except door near ours kept banging when used.
Banging entrance door.
Ease of access from M5 with good signposting. Value for money of room. Free wifi excellent - more than adequate. Good health club with free access.
Chose to eat out as the restaurant was virtually empty in the evening, but food did not look such good vale. Early closure of health club on Saturday evenings.
Good location off the M5 motorway. Rooms are a decent size and quite modern looking. Staff are very friendly, efficient and helpful. Bathroom is a decent size
Breakfast is ridiculously priced, so I have never once purchased it. No wardrobe and just a rail for clothes No heated towel rail in bathroom so wet towels are an issue. Always seems to attract noisy, chavvy guests.
Poor quality alcahol with expensive price tag ,and bars poorly staffed
no outside area to sit
Good breakfast and comfortable rooms.
We paid cash on checking in, it seemed higher than I expected. I went to my room and checked my booking, and they had charged about £20.00 more per night. I went to reception and showed them my computer with "Booking.com", hotel said to see booking.com, booking.com say 'see the hotel'
Didn't like the smell of stale smoke in my room. I am a non smoker and found it very unpleasant. Service in the bar was poor.
Convienient for Birmingham off M6
1. Expensive bar prices . 2. Massive car park but just 2 disabled bays !! 3. Did not pick up request for disabled access room .
The staff made us feel very welcome.
Very informative receptionists Good value for money Great Location Very friendly staff Great breakfast
- waited 25mins to be checked in 2 staff members sat there behind the counter letting just one staff member check everyone in. Spiders in room and duvet very thin
The ironing facilities
The shower was not brilliant. Breakfast could be cheaper, to prevent travellers going elsewhere.
Did use wifi
I am week 2 of staying here mon-fri for next 6 months staff are so friendly it's like a home from home! They can not do enough for you! Not missing home as much as I thought I would!!
Restaurant manager lacks personality, management skills, and more importantly customer service skills! But this is only tiny glitch in and not the be all end all
Rooms / dinner / reception
Very poor breakfast, limited choice of cooked items (also overcooked).
