Score from 63 reviews Excellent
Everything, especially the breakfasts!! Very friendly establishment. Chose it because of cleanliness rating and it lived up to expectations. Easy walk to the sea front
Parking "could" be a minor problem at busy times.
we liked the people, the location, it was very quiet in the night, lovely breakfast and beautiful room.
The only negative was the bed, the mattress was so uncomfortable we kept waking up, also the pillows were quiet flat and for a superior room we think the bed should have been more comfortable, but we realise the hardness/softness of a mattress is a personal choice so didn't complain.
Westbury lodge, owners very friendly and approachable, would go the extra mile for their guests. Will not find a better breakfast
Could not find any fault
On arrival I was provided with a pot of tea & shortbread biscuits in the conservatory. The supply of 'daily treats' in my room made a difference. Staff were friendly, having lived on the Island I know the location is a prime one and my room was immensely comfortable and welcoming.
The only thing to make it perfect would have been a slightly later breakfast time- maybe until 10am at the weekend but this could just be my lazy body clock!
The staff were excellent and made us feel very welcome. Good location and great suggestions for local places to eat. Breakfast was lovely with a good variety of choices for all tastes. This was my first experience of staying in a B&B and has encouraged me to do it again.
Description of the B&B states 'ample parking' however there appeared to be only 4 spaces available which were quite tight (parking was possible on the roads nearby)
Both my wife and I recommend this B&B without hesitation. First class stay with superb breakfast. You feel very much at home thanks to Kath and Dave. Just 5 minutes walk to the top of the cliffs for an awesome view and a very convenient lift down to promenade and beach. Town is also 5 minutes walk, Old Town a little longer but well worth the walk. I cannot fault this B&B and we hope to visit again. Ron Wilbraham
Absolutely nothing to dislike
Good room lovely hosts fab breakfast and good location would stay again
Attention to detail, choice of food at breakfast + the availability of comfortable lounge and conservatory
having to leave after only 3 nights!
very good value Kath and Dave the hosts were very friendly, room was well presented nice comfortable bed wonderful Egyptian cotton sheets and lovely thick white towels, Kath and Dave would help with anything you need, excellent breakfast .
would prefer if breakfast was a little bit later than between 8am to 9am but we do understand why they do this. [as they do have a life]
easy walking distance to town and sea. kath and dave were wonderful. couldn"t find anything faults with westbury lodge, and the breakfast was wonderful.
Kath and Dave were the best hosts you could wish for! Very knowledgable about the area and things to do as well as being so welcoming! Breakfast was fantastic, we ate more than we could manage, purely because everything was so delicious. The bedroom was spotless, couldn't fault a thing!
Easy to get to - about 10 minute walk from station, 5 minute walk to beach and town. Breakfast first class as were Kath and Dave
Dave & Kath were the perfect hosts nothing was too much trouble good well cooked breakfast I liked the freedom to come and go as I please I will certainly be going back next year and in future years as it is the only hotel I will be staying in on the iow
The TV reception in the rooms was hit and miss plenty of other hotels in the area so unfortunately lots of coach noise but it did not spoil my hols in anyway as I don't come to the iow to watch TV I can do that at home
great location very central, good breakfast, nice room, very friendly helpful staff
Kath and Dave were excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was well appointed and the lounge and sun lounge also very pleasant. The breakfast menu was varied with home made museli and jams. Tea making facilities in room and lounge were available. Why stay at an hotel when you can have a first rate stay like this. When returning to the IOW we will definately stay the Kath and Dave again. Gaynor & Alan, Swansea

Everything! Being greeted by name and offered info on the area and bus timetable on arrival (I came by train)There were soft towels, a comfortable bed, pretty little shower room and attention to details like tea towel with hospitality tray, good quality bottled water, biscuits etc. The room and public areas were very clean and felt freshly decorated. The sweet couple who ran it were thorough, professional and should be very proud of the standard they offer for the fair price. I was glad to relax in the lovely lounge with quality magazines and ample choice of books to borrow. For the price the ample breakfast was varied and should suit all tastes, and as you may expect with excellent presentation too. Many thanks Dave and Kath :-)
As I was there in very hot weather it was important to have the windows fully open. With the room next door the configuration of the shower room windows a few inches apart didn't provide too much privacy, just best to wait till next door has gone out!
Nicely furnished room, lovely breakfast, Cath and Dave looked after us very well.
Having to go home!
We were made to feel very welcome by very friendly Kath and Dave. The room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent.
The food was first class, hotel clean and bright and the owners extremely friendly and helpful. Could not ask for more
Nothing really; only down side was the poor pressure on the shower in room 6
The hosts were very welcoming and informative, location was excellent for everything, a brilliant breakfast menu that was so varied. Comfortable accommodation, very clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed our stay very much and will probably return soon. George and Jo, Northampton.
everything was first class exellant food very friendly hosts should be rated five star

Got it for 1 night
The breakfasts are really wonderful, the location is superb for either walking, driving or public transport. My husband ended up in hospital and the owners were very helpful as our 5day break turned into a 17 day marathon, they were very flexible and supportive. Really is a wonderful place to stay exceptional value for money.
Kath and Dave were very welcoming, and did everything possible to give us a lovely stay there.. even gave us beach towels to use, fresh milk for our room every time we asked, the breakfasts were amazing.
