All possible conveniences crammed into smaller room--tea-brewing setup, modern shower, lamps, cabinet and drawers . . . Larger room more comfortable and coolable. Owners very efficient, cheerful, helpful in ALL ways, even beyond the call of duty. Full, properly Decaden, English breakfast, in charming room. Good central location and near the town library's computers. First room was tiny and needed its ceiling fan on and curtains drawn against the roof-level light before I arrived, because when the day cooled off, it was fine. Steep steps, but then, my bag was dragged up and down without any request. Well, I AM 73! |

The room was fairly sized and clean. The landlady was very friendly and smiley. The breakfast was great. The hotel is within walking distance from Windemere lake and the local pubs and restaurants. Great value for money. There was nothing we really didn't like about the hotel. Only, the bathroom was a bit too small but in our experience that's usually the case for this price. Being from southern and much warmer climates, we found the room just a bit colder than we'd have liked :) |

The land lady was very efficient and friendly. She was also very helpful in allowing me to leave my luggage for a few hours while I waited for my train. My room was extremely clean. This is very important to me. My room was very small. Not really a strong criticism as this probably could not be helped with the layout of the rooms in the hotel. |

Very friendly owners, I wouldn't feel awkard asking for something. Good central position and vey quiet at night. Roooms were very clean and tidy and beds were comfortable, something I find very rarely when I travel. Excellent breakfast and we were made very welcome. I would not hesitate to book again. |

the room was taken over by the double bed, the picture on the internet is what i liked but on arriving was shown the room which was nothing like the one on the internet. the tv was postioned on top of wardrobe which was difficult to see, there was only one small mirror. the taps in the bathroom were in a very bad way bits missing. |

As I travelled alone I was particularly glad to find provision of a single room, well arranged with a nice outlook. |
