Pendennis Castle (one mile) - Journey through 450 years of history, captured in this impressive fortress. Witness a Tudor gun deck in action, and descend through secret underground tunnels to the big guns of the World War II battery.
Penjerrick Gardens (2 miles): Set in 10 acres, these beautiful gardens boast tree ferns, magnolias and camellias. A wooden bridge leads to a subtropical garden with palms and bamboo trees. The gardens are best seen in the end of April.

The Westcott is a friendly place to stay, it is well run, organisied and clean. Owners were very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional with lots of variety. The proxcimity to the beach (2mins walk) is ideal. Would definately stay there again . |

The staff were very friendly and helpful, they allowed me to make an international call on their phone which was really nice. the shower was horrible, I couldn't even wash my hair as the water pressure was so low. Clean towels were not made available and there was not sufficent space to dry you towels in the room so you had wet towels each day. The room was very pokey. The toilet didn't flush properly but as this is the case everywhere in the UK I'm not sure if they can do much about it. |

Location was lovely and a very good breakfast. Pleaseant staff. Wonderful views. Tea tray with all the extras was a nice touch. Hotel was clean. Unfortunately the bed was the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on. Bathroom was tiny. Did not particulary like the parking at the hotel, you were asked to double park leave your keys on a hook in reception so other people wanting to get out could take your keys and move your car to move theirs. Having just spent £43,000.00 on a car and asked to just leave the keys for anyone to take and move your car, who would not be insured is crazy! For me personally a "no" |
