The small family-run Westdene hotel is located just 100 metres from Skegness’ sand dunes and beach. It provides rooms with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi and delicious homemade food. The owners, Ashley and Sarah, are entering their 11th holiday season, while Sarah has 25 years experience in the hospitality industry. Guests can enjoy a comfortable nights’ sleep as beds have either memory foam or orthopaedic mattresses. Rooms include tea/coffee-making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Each morning breakfasts are cooked to order, using free-range eggs from a local farm in Gunby. The dinner menu includes traditional favourites and there is a variety of freshly made soups on offer. Special dietary requirements can be catered for, and the food is prepared by an award-winning ex-Royal Marine chef. Skegness town centre and Skegness Train Station are both within a 10-minute walk. Guests can enjoy the arcades, pier and many restaurants serving fresh locally caught fish. Free parking is available close to the property. Hotel Rooms: 7

The proprietors were very friendly and welcoming making you feel home from home and very comfortable from the moment you entered the building, the cleanliness of the room and public areas was excellent, the meals were 5 star especially the homemade soup and the breakfast were fantastic. Nothing at all, would definately stay there again.

Very warm welcome ; room very clean with everything you need ; we asked for a baby cot, they move all the furnitures in the room to put one in ; hotel easy to find ; located in a quiet street ; bar and restaurant on the lower floor ; we chose to not have breakfast (though it was included in the price of the room), but it smelled so good in the morning Located in a dead-end street, there aren't so many places where to park the car. Some problem in the evening to connect to the internet, but everything back to normal in the morning. Nothing else, it was a very good stay.

We were made to feel very welcome by Sarah and Ashley during the whole of our stay. The breakfast was absolutely delicious (the best mushrooms I have ever tasted!). We stayed in one of the family rooms, which was very clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. The rest of the hotel was also very clean and fresh. We spent both evenings of our stay in the cosy hotel bar which we really enjoyed. A fabulous hotel, we would certainly stay here again!
