we liked the location we found the staff very helpful the room we stayed in for the first and second nights was lovely as we had asked for an upgrade but unfortunately we had to move back to our original booked room on the third night and it was looking over the car park .but we know now to book a room with a sea view when we go again the only thing is the decor is looking in need of redecoration but i am sure richard the owner will get around to it as he has only been there a short while and he works very hard he seems to be everywhere at all times day or night |

Great staff. Faded grandeur. Open fire. Good food. Wonderful position. Management making efforts to update an old but charming building. One or two details not attended to. e.g. beautiful chintz curtains but hanging off rail, great bathroom but driven out by extremely noisy fan. |

We had a great room with a view of the bay. Just a short walk down the hill to the shops and pubs. This is a beautiful hotel and very nice owners. |

Bed sheets were lovely & comfy! Breakfast was like pig swill, undercooked, mass-produced slop. Rooms are in severe need of redecoration, with wallpaper hanging off wall in one of our rooms and one room stinking of damp. One room also suffered from a strong smell of paint, as there were ongoing redecoration works taking place in the corridor. |

The hotel was excellent. Very friendly and relaxing. The food was great. It was our first time on the isle and when we go back i wouldn't stay anywhere else. could not fault the hotel in any way. |

le petit-déjeuner cuisiné En réservant, nous avons bénéficié d'une promotion : 80 livres au lieu de 140 livres. Malheureusement, une fois sur place, nous avons séjourné dans une chambre mal orientée, avec une déco spartiate et pas très propre (carreaux très sales, traces sur le siège des toilettes, moisissures dans la baignoire/douche,...) et dont le prix annoncé à l'hôtel était de 80 livres !!! |
