We had a quiet room which was very roomy comfortable and clean

We were on the second floor with no lifts so we had to lift our suitcases up the stairs. The hotel did however offer to take them up for us.

Outer building looked very old fashioned (60's 70's) looks can be deceptive...interior was modern, clinical and immaculate!. Could do with a gym,

Very well appointed rooms, excellent food and service would definitely stay here again.

Wifi signal in room not great, however LAN cable provided at reception sorted the internet access issue instantly.

The attention & welcome given to us at reception .All staff were so helpful.The beautiful setting of the hotel and the cleanliness of our room. Most of all the exceptional food at the "Jockey club" where we entertained our guests.All the meals we had were a-m-a-z-i-n-g !!!!! Congratulations to Head chef Donald. Loved our stay.

We stayed in one of the Garden rooms, as the main hotel was fully booked and my one negative point was that we had to climb 2 flights of stairs.

excellent location for tourist close to Ayr would suit all ages ideal for weddings leisure sport and business trips. the staff were so helpful.

Clean room, Great staff, Value for money.

Hotel was nice but did not see much or get to enjoy your facilities due to a wedding taking place. This ment we could not get into the bar area for a drink or book into the restaurant because it was full.

Was not informed about the wedding taking place on this date or i would have change the date.

the two days my mother and I stayed there were absolutely fantastic. The staff were so helpful and considerate. Excellent customer service and quality. They care about the people who are staying there and it shows in every detail. thank you soo much to the hotel and the staff for everything!!!

We have stayed here often and always love it. The staff are always very friendly and rooms are large and very clean. Huge comfortable beds, great attention to detail eg shortbread--delicious,bowl of sweets, dvds to borrow etc. In the words of Arnorld Schwarzenegger " i'll be back "

My father who was travelling with us thought the cooked breakfast was a little mean eg, 1 item each of 1 egg, 1 sausage etc. For a man who loves his food he was a little disappointed. Maybe a buffet is the answer, people can then take what they want, this may keep everyone happy. We also didn't like the flasks of tea, strange flask taste and having to bob up and down to refill, I would expect to relax and enjoy breakfast for the price we paid.

Inability to cope with overload at breakfast (on Sunday 10th March) ... no 'plan B'!!!

This was my second stay at Western House and I cannot wait to return. I stayed in one of the two blocks of rooms in the courtyard and found my bedroom to be extremely comfortable. They seem to have thought of absolutely everything. In addition, I found the staff to be faultless throughout my stay - well trained and very friendly. A perfect 10 from me!!

I was so impressed with the Western House Hotel - from the lovely reception and lounge areas to the beautiful room with its many extra little touches. Room service meal was excellent as was the cooked breakfast. I just wish I had more reason to visit Ayr again.

Staff in the breakfast room a little inexperienced I think and there was no marmalade (!) or sugar that you could sprinkle on your porridge/cereal. But forgiveable given the standard of everything else.
