Very good,

Apartment was very clean and had all the facilities available, including tea, coffee, towels etc. Would recommen this to anyone wanting to do their own thing when travelling up to the capital. Only downsides were that tolilet seat was broken in the main bathroom, and some niggly things in the kitchen. Ie couldn't wash up the couple of things used because the sink plug was broken, albeit there was a dishwasher to use (bit of an overkill though)

Stayed here to visit the ExCel. It's on the doorstep. Easy to reach from Custom House. Shops, bars and restaurants close by, as well as hotel bars which I'm not sure we were supposed to be allowed in anyway but it happened! Wasn't a problem when we checked out late because we were hungover. Good, clean facilities, and a good size. Bola is a legend, friend for life! The eastern European cleaning lady laughing at me because of my hungover state... This was probably just me though lol

Everything worked, except the free wi-fi which said it had run out of credit when we connected to it. At the reduced rate I paid it was good value for money. At full price it would not be. It would be very convenient if you have business at ExCel. Convenient Tesco Express with a reasonable selection of wine and food goes some way to making up for the lack of any decent pubs, bars or restaurants in the area. I booked an apartment that said it had 1 double bed in one room, and 2 twins in the other. On arrival we found both rooms had doubles which meant one of our party of 3 needed to sleep on the couch. Wi-fi did not work. We were asked to pay cash for the room because the card machine wasn't working - just felt a bit dodgy. The area around the apartments is a cultural wasteland - expensive and atmosphere-free bars and restaurants. After a long and exhausting day we were longing for a convenient cosy pub or bar to relax in, but there aren't any.

The location is perfect for the ExCel Centre and the DLR. The apartment was very well appointed and even included tea, coffee and sugar which was a nice touch. We staying in apartment 36 which was surprisingly quiet considering it over looks the DLR. A couple of supermarkets close by and a number of restaurants. Getting into the apartment was a bit complicated. We had to call the telephone number detailed on the booking confirmation and go to a different location to collect the key (although this was a short walk around the corner from the apartment at Grain Stores) and then call a different telephone number to contact a porter at Grain Stores to get the key. All this assumes that the guests have a working phone on them to make the calls. The use of a credit card to pay would incur a 2.50% charge which I don't remember been advised about

It was great to have an apartment whilst in London for a festival at the pleasure gardens. Lots of room, 2 bathrooms & a kitchen with all the mod cons. Even a small balcony. Booking.com doesn't tell you that you check in over the road, if I hadn't called them for another reason I would have been stood outside wondering how to get in

Very big apartment well decorated. Full kitchen. Convenient for Canary Wharf and Excel. Got it for a great price thanks to Booking.com State of corridors. Having to go to office to pay first. Being told office was at no.4 Westgate when it would have been easier to name the apartments they are below as these are signposted everywhere in the area (doh! Concierge - please note). Length of time taken to locate office sign in and go to apartments which made me miss the start of The Woman in Black (which ok is a boring preamble anyway according to my daughter who did catch it). Strictly speaking the wrong side of Canary Wharf for going out in town from the evening before work. Canning Town being an irritating and confusing transfer station. Great balcony view of a multi- story carpark. Blinds only covering half of living area. Hard to turn off cooker (where is that darned unlabelled switch again?) But actually these are all minor annoyances compared to a great apartment in a reasonable location. A lot of them when listed, so you know you are in for some niggles. But I'm still positive overall and would stay again.

The apartments are at a prime location for those visiting London ExCel and surrounding attractions such as the O2 Arena. Apartments were very clean and having two bathrooms made it much easier for four people getting ready. The kitchen facilities had everything we needed and all it's equiptment working in good order. The rooms are lovely and of a good size with comfortable beds. The Lounge area was spacious and bright. We loved walking onto the balcony and taking in the views.

Ideally situated for the Excel Conference Centre where I was working. The Apartments had the facilities of a modern luxury flat for a very fair price -considering the premium the hotels charge when events are being held in the centre. It is like having the facilities of a superior hotel suite. Decent toiletries were provided free. Built right over a well stocked supermarket and near to excellent restaurants and pubs. No need for a car or public transport - everything was to hand. Only one or two minor problems to report. A venetian blind was missing in the lounge and the sofa was stained and could do with a clean. Unfortunately the advertised free wi-fi didn't work despite the supply of 4 different modems and much effort by the staff to fix this. Overall though excellent.

The rooms offered space and out of the city convenience for us. We arrived early in the morning and were most grateful to get access to a room, albeit after what appears to be the usual annoying access arrangements that bedevil others (so be warned). The apartment surfaces had been well cleaned, and everything in the kitchen worked for us. The seating in the lounge was comfortable and we enjoyed being able to open the door onto the balcony. We arrived at Westgate after a 13 hour flight, couldn't access the building despite having called the contact as we left the airport and as we arrived there. Finally we slipped in the door with another resident. We then sat on our cases in an empty foyer for 45 minutes before a demanding phone call to the contact saw a third party appear outside to lead us with our luggage down the street to the Grainery Apartments, apparently we had been upgraded. We trundled our bags about 200 metres along the footpath. The entrance in the Grainery was gross. It had flyers lying around over the floor, and an entry tub chair with copious semi dry vomit down the side of the chair and flowing about a metre across the tiled floor with the associated smell. This had to be circumnavigated to get to the hallway, it wasn't cleaned up until mid morning Monday. We were led to the apartment, told someone would be along to see us about an induction to the apartment, who never appeared. This meant we didn't know the building entry arrangements, so yet another phone call had to be made to establish those. We had been upgraded to what appeared to be the storage apartment as we had no space available in the cupboards, they were fully used for the rental apartments cleaning gear such as buckets, spare sheets, towels, door locks and so on. The carpet in the bedroom had black marks all over it, the bed head tipped over during the night and had to be stood up again. In the bathroom three light fittings were hanging out of the ceiling, one so low it touched my head as I walked under, other lights in there didn't work at all and the day concierge was unable to get them fixed during our stay. What no one mentions is the aircraft noise. Our apartment faced the airport direction. London airport is very close and the noise is constant when the planes takeoff toward London. The double glazing doesn't really help prevent the sound reaching the occupants and believe me, it can get very loud.
