Lots of hot water. The hosts were friendly Small room, dated furniture, no 4 star details(eg no hair dryer)breakfast at the bottom of the stairs, smell of smoke throughout made for a very bad night's sleep. Very surprised that this has a 4 star rating

The owners were exceptionally welcoming and were on hand 24hrs to offer advice or recommendations. This is a very hard working family run business. We were allowed to take our dog (for a fee that is comparable with Europe) and the location was perfect for walking as on the doorstep to public bridlepaths. Very comfortable room with tea & coffee facilities, free Wi-fi. A quiet rural location within short driving distances of Canterbury and Herne Bay. Fabulous breakfast - wide variety of cereal on offer, fruit, yoghurt, selection of breads and excellent cooked breakfast if wanted. Breakfasts at a time to suit guests. Very good pub within brisk walking distance. We have already booked for a return trip. We found it difficult to completely understand where some of the negative reviews on the booking.com website were coming from - this is a hard-working family run B&B and not a 4 star hotel.

Friendly hosts Tiny bedroom. No shower in ensuite is unacceptable, especially after paying £85 for a tiny room. People expect a shower not a bath.

The owners where superb and could not have been more accommodating, especially when we misplaced a key and they kindly arranged transport back to the station. Also, the breakfast was excellent! It would have been nice if the location was nearer to Herne Bay.

Very friendly hosts, serving our (almost) every need (no dancing girls). They answered all questions and supplied us with maps and information regarding local amenities/site-seeing in East Kent, nearest inn for an evening meal, etc. The little touches were voluntary: eg advising on the remote control functions for tv; supplying to the room fresh milk for drinks (uht there already, as well as tea, coffee, chocolate & biscuits). The central heating was left on all night and the bedroom had a thermostatic radiator valve (adjust a little at a time) allowing us to cook or freeze by selection. We did both until we got it right :-d Very good value for money with no hidden extras. We thoroughly recommend this place for a quiet get-away break. Nothing.

A friendly welcome. Comfortable room with all that is needed. owners went the 'extra mile'. Safe off-road car parking. Too difficult to find in the dark. A clear road-side sign would help. But a telephone call solved the problem.

It was a warm and friendly atmosphere.Rooms were cleaned everyday.Margaret and Tony were very friendly and went out of their way telling you good places to visit and also providing printed maps to help finding the way.The breakfast was very good with plenty to eat,and more if you wanted something extra. It was a good location for visiting interesting places.Only one thing i would like to sugges it that they maybe could put a board up outside,as it was a bit hidden from the road.Apart from that i would rate this B/B a 10.Well done Margaret and Tony.Hope to return.Ann Don from Worthing. Absoultley nothing.

Almost everything. Arrived with no proper welcome, had to enter back of house area which was utterly disgusting, filth everywhere, dishes piled high, sheets and towels all over the floor. At 2pm we arrived and asked to see the room which was not ready, in fact you could not even see the carpet under the mess. First impressions count, if the next day heston blumenthal was making us breakfast it would not come close to redemption. I fervently discourage anyone from staying here!
