we found the owner very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good a lot of variety as well as traditional breakfast. The beds were comfy and good size. Nice variety of drink choices in rooms.
just a miner comment the light fittings in the room could do with a dust. Also you need a B and B sign outside.
We only stayed for one night as we did not live too far from Westgrange House. We found the staff very welcoming and polite, Westgrange had a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, the room was clean and the sleeping arrangements was comfortable, the location was peaceful and quiet, but not too far from the town with shops. It also had a car park which was a plus. We would recommend.
Unfortunately although breakfast times were flexible, we was not impressed with the breakfast and felt it could have been better for the price paid. Also an update on the TVs in the bedrooms would be nice.
Location was perfect to be close to Canterbury. Excellent cooked breakfast.
The road to the house is very narrow and gets muddy quickly. Quite noisy at night from other guests.
the bed was great had really good sleep
stick to cereal for breakfast, the outside looks nothing like the pictures you see of it.
Good size room and chesterfield settee to sit on. Breakfast set you up for the day, good choice of everything. Comfy bed, fresh soft towels and quality toilet paper. Near to all the places we wanted to visit.
Small bathroom, and big step to get out of shower, but as only in there for essential amount of time, just adjusted.
Very difficult to find at night, no sign outside. No shower in room
Not very commutable if you don't have your own car. Very pricey for basic stuff.
Quiet location Great breakfast Close but not too close to town Friendly management Value for money
TV was a bit tough to figure out
Good shower in the front twin room Good wifi. Pleasant host.
Advertised as 4 rosettes when the Official Tourist Board has only awarded 3 rosettes for 2014. Stale smell of tobacco or mustiness in the house is off-putting. Breakfast is poorly cooked, with cheap ingredients, bacon like leather, open cereal and yogurt pots left out day to day, dirty tablecloth, chipped and cracked teapot, no fresh fruit, just tinned, and artificial orange juice drink (other guests thought it was watered down). Altogether a poor advertisement for The Garden of England. Toast served one slice at a time. TV tiny and ancient 4:3 format. Room furniture the cheapest pine available. Fleas on blanket covering small sofa (perhaps from allowing pets to stay??). Can be noisy at times (4 children in the family). No literature on local attractions or health & safety. No smoke alarm in room that we could find. Overpriced at £85. Should be more like £50 to £60 given the poor quality of everything.
The b&b was in a lovely spot and easy to get in and out of Herne Bay and Whitstable by taxi and bus if you don't have a car. There is a very nice pub 10 min walk always which does nice food and beer. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and the owner was very friendly and helpful.
There was no shower only a bath for the triple room that we had which for three of us made getting ready in the morning a bit tricky. Although it was a triple room the double bed was not a full sized double and therefore a little cramped for two people. Still a nice place though and a great trip overall.
The bedroom and en-suite were clean.
When you pull into the drive the first thing you notice is weeds everywhere and a rickety old table and chairs with an ashtray in the middle, overflowing with butts. If it wasn't for the cancellation charge we would have turned round and driven away.
very nice staff
had a excellent stay the owner was lovely. the room was nice and cosy just as described. the breakfast was lovely and good start to the day.
The only little quirm was the tv in the room was a bit out of date and had a annoying buzz but apart from that could not fault Westgrange
A fantastic place to stay very clean and Margeret great owner an could not do enough to make sure had a great stay breakfast was very good to an lovely quiet so good for sleeping an ideal very visiting places in Kent
Margaret owner was pleasant and tried to be helpful
Booked last minute went by reviews as premier inn cancelled last min over booked as we had to find some where to stay I was traveling with my 85 yr old dad so my husband phoned ahead to confirm our booking explained it was father and daughter owner no problem il put a single bed inroom as well great he then phoned to say time we would be at B B still no problem 830 pm arrived oh we double booked making up sitting room two twin beds very clean room dustie cobwebs marks on wall window broken on outside dated TV no where to hang clothes and we could use the family bathroom which was clean no lock on our room door said I could use the bath said no thanks you can use the shower in the nice room il have for you tomorrow never slept poor dad did as he had had along day and was stressed we were there to visit his very ill brother and traveled all day had no choice but to use the room so let down told them didn't want the room the second night she did offer not to charge I said it was my fault so she took £195 for room that I should never had been offered breakfast fine teapot cracked tumblers by their best about 5 flys in eating area and another guest fixed her front porch ceiling as we sat and ate breakfast as it was falling down she sounded so lovely but I was so let down after all it is a business and did take our money
very comfortable beds and room
Its a place with peace and tranquility.
No showers to bathe. A big issue
Host extremely helpful. Lots of hot drinks available. Happy for us to arrive any time. Organised taxi for us in evening. Breakfast was lovely.
Nothing we didn't like but some might like to be closer to town.
Friendly family run B&b. Clean and well maintained. Great food. Lovely people and would recommend to anyone.
Nothing to dislike
Margaret and Tony were more than helpful in every aspect, the atmosphere was really relaxed and the breakfast was really good, we were disappointed we had to leave!
Friendly hosts and willing to go the extra mile
Overall look of the house
Very good breakfast. Helpful owners.
Very small room for the price we were paying. Owners talked a little too much - all through breakfast!
Margaret and Tony were the perfect hosts. Room clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast cooked to order at a time to suit. Lovely location
The smell of cigarette smoke, waiting for breakfast, the chaos outside the room
The Host's were very helpful and flexible with breakfast times . Room was lovely and can not fault the service 'very nice people'
