The staff were friendly, helpful when the problems arose and also followed up with an apology email when we returned from our stay. When I got up in the morning I would have never stayed at this hotel again, the attitude of the staff and the apology email have altered my opinion and I would give them a second chance if I am in the area again. There was no water in our first room...there were guests in the second room we were offered and the final room had heating that made a terrible noise when switched on...and as it was -10 degrees that night it was a choice of freezing to death or not sleeping. We were offered complimentary tea / coffee and orange juice in the morning, but when they arrived it was without any milk / cream etc for the tea and coffee.

Lovely room and staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't use any other facilities but looked good. People smoking outside so could smell it in my room as I was next to the area.

Service was good room upgraded was nice. I requested a ground floor room and was given one I also requested a room away from car park so I could have window open at nite because of my asthma, I got an upgraded room away from carpark next to noisy air conditioning unit, so couldnt have window open and found it hard to sleep due to noise from air conditioning unit with window shut,

“What a beautiful hotel - especially all decorated for Christmas! My room was in the main building and was amazing. Also the steam room in the basement is very nice. I saw none of the things other reviews complained about except worn out furniture but its all antique.. you can't expect antique to be like new. The staff was very friendly as well. I've stayed in many hotels and this easily ranks as one of my favorite. Very happy I stayed here and if I ever have to go to Newbury again I will stay here.” Chris, Prangins |
