No complaints, everything good

Convenient location for family visit in Newbury.

Television did not work

The hot water for the shower was set a maxmium of 35 degrees and was told that this was for health and safety reasons. The t.v didn't work proberly. The brekfast was luke warm.

the bed wasnt very comfortable which resulted in not having the best nights sleep.

Location was good. The staff were great especially the young man on Reception who also doubled as Bar Tender and couldnt do enough to give help if needed.

Nothing to dislike

Very friendly and helpfull Staff! Our group of 36 People arrived late at night after the CL-Final at Wembley. Nevertheless the check-in took only a few minutes, because everything was well prepared for our arrival. Nice rooms & good breakfast.

Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Responded quickly and efficiently to the small problems encountered. Room faced lovely rural landscape which was lovely.

Room was functional and corporate with little comfort and/or quality. If you want a bit of luxury...move on.

Food in the restaurant is very good

Away from the madding crowds. Plenty of space for the car, and peaceful.

Dinner menu was limited - we ate out each night instead When we asked for another cup to replace our chipped one the member of staff who brought us one unlocked our door & just walked in our room without knocking While eating breakfast members of staff were constantly moving around the tables moving things around - quite off putting when you are eating & having conversations

no coffee in room on arrival, no breakfast arrived 1st morning, a little chilly, no one answered the phone when i called reception. drinks very expensive with hardly any staff around.

The cleanliness of the hotel and the staff who were extremely helpful. I was visiting to attend my sisters funeral and the staff went to a lot of trouble to find me a list of florists within easy reach of the hotel. The food was good.

The room I had was pleasant and looked out onto fields, it was very clean. The only problem for me was the bed which so hard it was impossible to sleep. I ended up with real back ache and my knee and ankle joints were very painful. It was like sleeping on a lump of wood. My sister also had a room and the bed in her room was much more comfortable. For this reason I would not use the hotel again.

The room was very clean and a good size.

Well appointed and comfortable bed for the first night. Bathroom very well appointed.

Horrible smell on the ground floor as though the carpets had been badly soiled and the cleaning hadn't worked at all. Could have been a few more well placed direction arrows.

For me it is the perfect business hotel, quiet but with the facilites i need.

We were upgraded from a standard room to a superior room because there was a party being held that night

Nothing

I initially got put in one of the unmodernised rooms but there was a problem with the room. Once I notified reception they moved me to another room promptly. Frequent stayer at hotel, staff always friendly.

Although most of the rooms have been modernised and look great some haven't and it was disappointing to find myself in one of the older rooms when I only return with expectations of a clean and modern room.
