Generously sized well-presented room and en-site. Friendly host. Good location for Morecambe's promenade
We were offered a change to a room with a sea view when one became available. Both rooms were comfortable and clean. Our host was helpful with local information and provided an early (uncooked) breakfast when we had to leave before the main breakfast was usually served. She was friendly and we felt welcome.
Parking was free (as stated), but not on the premises.
Although we are a mature couple,we were staying with our baby granddaughter. The cot was ready for us and we had a very good breakfast at no extra charge for the baby.Excellent!
Nothing at all to dislike.
The area is very nice, playground for kids just outside the hotel. Good parking space on the street if you are lucky. Only double rooms have sea view.
We had a room on the second floor which was hard going if you need to go up and down a few times. Because we reserved room for 3 people we had a horrible view out of the window which was full of junk stuff and lots of rubbish.
The sea view. Quiet safe location. All facilities needed. Access to room at any time. Friendly and helpful sfaff.
Shared bath. Having to climb 2 flights of stairs (in our 70s). Couldnt access wifi.
liked the house loved the breakfast fantastic view of beach and surrounding area very pleasent staff nice welcome really nice enjoyable weekend thankyou
would like to reccomend blackout blind for window and also slip mat for inside shower reception on tv poor
We booked at the last minute for bank holiday, so the options were very limited. Staff were friendly and breakfast was great. Room was tidy and bins were emptied every day, along with clean linen each day if you wished so. We had a great sea view from the top floor. Great base location to visit other places i.e Blackpool, Lancaster, Lake District. We had a lovely few days away, but did spend all day every day out in various places.
The location was a little run down, however this has nothing to do with the Westleigh. The pressure from the shower wasnt great either, but we managed. No allocated parking spaces, first come first served basis, so going out for the day most certainley means you lose your space. I had to park on a back street which wasnt very pretty or re-assuring.
The bed was squeaky and the wood liners broke down in my friends room.
The comfort of the bed and the breakfast.
The small bathroom and the fact I booked 2 double rooms but only received 1 double and a cramped twin room. the location was too far from shops and centre.
The landlady when asked about breakfast said between 8.15 and 9.15am. When told we would be there at 9.15, the reply was "you won't be getting much at that time!" The bathroom was filthy and the taps on the basin loose. The place had a whole feel of being unclean. This place was not worth the money we paid and feel a full refund be justified. I don't understand where a 7.4 rating came from? It's not even worth a 4.7 I would never stay here again! Disgusting place and even the taxi drivers that picked us up said she is a rude person.
tv not working
Style of the decor, quietness, excellent breakfast. And the location away from the crowds, but near the beach & play ground for the kids. Liked the fact of borrowing games for the evening. Tv was excellent for the kids aswell, they fell asleep watching a film excellent!
Over priced for facilities. No parking
A warm welcome from the Owner, nice room, very clean. Lovely Breakfast.
No complaints at all
Location was ok, we were only travelling through but good access to Morecombe bay. Breakfast was good and the staff friendly. Good wifi - although changing the SSID to something more in line with the hotel name would be more professional.
Rooms were dated with worn and threaded carpets. Very dated bath suites, one bathroom was tiny but had working shower, our other room had larger bathroom but shower was a mere dribble - if hotels got the showers right, a lot of issues could be overlooked. Mattresses were worn and in need of changing. One bedroom has sea views, the other overlooked derelict buildings - granted not the hotels fault.
Cramped bathroom with very small sink
The breakfast was very nice, also the staff was polite.
Lack of water pressure for the shower. Very noisy area.
Rather a small room with a 'hospital'-type bed
We were very impressed with the staff member who greeted us. She was very helpful.
Couldn't get the shower to work properly as far as heat was concerned - cold only
Handy location nice views from the room and comfy bed.
decoration in room could be better
Location right on the seafront in quiet area Provided tea & coffee-making facilities in room
Breakfast service did not start until 08.15, but could self-serve cereals and hot drink before this
location - breakfast - being able to pay by credit cars
awful view from bedroom window - stiflingly hot at night
Good location on seafront. Come and go when you want. Very pleasant landlady.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and accommodating with regard to storing our bikes overnight. The breakfast was excellent.
Nothing to dislike.
The bedding was lovely and fresh
The fact I had to keep the bathroom rap running so the shower would work?!!! There was an actual sign instructing you to do so in the bathroom next to a sign that said "please think of our environment and tell us if you don't need clean towels everyday"!!! Ha
