I am only days away from my visit to West Lodge Park(WLP) and I am already yearning for a prompt return. I scoured the Internet trying to find a perfect venue to treat (and propose to) my partner as a Graduation treat and only bumped into wlp by chance. It was perfectly located not far from our London base and ended up being the perfect chance meeting. The very kind staff (especially Charlotte + Nicola) were extremely kind and very pleasant. Our room was blissfully located behind a fountain and amazing picturesque views that kept us indoors longer than planned. The grounds were breathtakingly picturesque with greenery as far as the horizon. The hotel has a unique and very natural identity uncommon in popular plastic-clad hotel chains. I can wax lyrical about this oasis of tranquillity forever but it will not reflect how wicked my time there was. I am counting down to my return. A must visit!!

We have stayed at West Park Lodge on several occasions and always found the hotel clean and comfortable. The staff are always pleasant but efficient. We would have no hesitation in recomending West Park Lodge to anybody.

Nice setting and lovely arboretum. Nice interior lounge where one can relax. Quiet surroundings close to London. One of the neighbours were disrespectful as their TV was roaring away until after midnight. The guests had to ask them to turn the volume down as there was no assistance from the hotel staff at this time of the night.

The surrounding area was pretty and gardens well maintained. The hotel was well presented . their were not a lot of staff about and staff tended to hang back in the office at reception a more visible human presence would have been nice and more welcoming. The general atmosphere was quite relaxing. The cover on the bed was thin and not warm or did not have any weight to it. It felt cheap and did not reflect the presentation of the room which was quite nice although a little shabby in places.

You are treated in a warm friendly manner, the staff are personable yet remain attentive and professional. The hotel is an oasis in lovely surroundings yet 5 mins from the M25 totally relaxing not like the many chain/plastic hotels in the area. However the main treat is the cusine. Hats off to the chef and his brigade who have consistantly produced excellent standards of fresh creative delights.

First class ambience one would expect from a country retreat, staff friendly, food excellent, room well presented, very comfy bed. Well done! Background music in bar a little too classical, more easy listening music would have worked better

“Have used this hotel a few times now. We originally started using it when we couldn't get rooms in a hotel a bit nearer where we were working. We have found the Chace is better priced, friendlier, has better food & is now the hotel that my Norwegian colleagues are asking to stay at when we are working in the area. Staff have a great attitude and a sense of humour too.” Jonathan, Broadstairs |
