Room not ready on arrival dispite been 2hrs later than check in time
The room was comfortable and clean well stocked with tea and coffee. Comfortable bed and proper bathroom. easy access to the town center but bus and free parking at the hotel.
The buffet Breakfast was not as good as hoped. the usual problems of cooking and keeping things.
Clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff
The Staff were friendly and Helpful. The bed was so comfortable and the room was to the back of the hotel, so no traffic noise. Our room was very clean and well equiped, also two comfortable chairs and a good reception television. The wifi conection was so useful. We have used this hotel 4times in the last 12months, and will continue to use it on our visits to the City.
We can't really say that anything was unsatisfactory. Our stays are only for one night visits and we have no complaints.
Very warm and good value
Breakfast very limited. You even had to specially order a fried egg!
the service was good we did want a front position room,so they moved us asap
its an old hotel it was like walking on an old gallen ship the floorboards were so creeky.
Very helpful staff and value
Our executive room was lovely, spacious and clean. At my request we were given a 2hr late check out for an extra £15, which to us in our particular situation (son graduating and travelling with elderly parents) was a godsend. Well done Best Western, a lovely service, we will use you again!
The staff were nice location a bit out of the way
The bathroom facilities were not very good. The shower was a trickle and the bath was only big enough for a child. The beds were comfy but both pillows were hard, having one soft one hard suits everyone. The room were overly warm and if you opened the window was noisy.
Staff were very good.
Didn't spend many hours in the hotel to be honest. Staff friendly enough. Pretty clean and slept well. Just managed to get parked after arriving early evening so that was a bonus.
Chose this hotel as have had the pleasure of using it before. Staff very friendly and room, bathroom/ toilet was clean and fresh looking. Ideal location for us visiting our student daughter.
Room was a bit cool but bathroom was nice and warm. We found that the room heating thermostat was on low and on moving it to mid-way the room heated up quickly. Can't blame the hotel or staff as it may have been the last user of the room had set the thermostat to low.
Nice, warm and comfortable room, good wifi, large car park, walking distance to town centre(15 min)
Our Executive Room was spacious with a lovely bathroom. Huge bed & complimentary gown & slippers.
Too many stairs to access rooms.
My initial room for whatever reason did not seem to pick up the wi-fi very well, I asked the receptionist about this and she had no hesitation in finding me a better room where the signal was fine.
Nothing ... all good
We only booked the cheaper rooms but for the cost it was very good value, the staff were helpful and nice, and the bar lait at night was very accomodation to those who wanted a few lait night tipples after a gig!
The hotel is in a fairly good location and rates are reasonable for a hotel.
The room was very small, the window was facing the backyard and we were in a separate wing of the building, so rather a long way to the room. The bed sheets were so rough they burned my skin when I moved. Decor in the public areas seems quite dated.
good location, bus stop outside hotel into Nottingham, lovely breakfast, clan and tidy, will stay again.
Lovely big room located at the back. Nice bathroom with bath. Very clean. It was hot ( 31st Oct and really warm weather) I turned off the bathroom radiator and that made a difference. There is also air con in the room which is nice. Would stay there again if in Nottingham.
Woken up by staff knocking on door at about 08.30. To clean the room? Surely you know if the room has been vacated as the keys would've been handed back in. Check out time is not until 11.00.
The breakfast was average but was all you can eat, which may appeal to some.
Our initial greeting by the receptionist was cold and detached, she made very little eye contact. We were asked how we would pay and then payment was taken, no information given regarding breakfast times or enquiry about our journey. Didn't feel very welcoming. In the room itself, we were greeted by a smeared dressing table mirror a thread worn easy chair and a large bed with two very flat pillows each on it. The shower consisted of a cublicle and whilst the inside was clean, when I humg my towel on the cubicle to dry, bit clumps of dust dropped down onto the floor - and me! On ordering food later, we were told that it would cost £5.00 to deliver it to our room, given the over=priced tariff, we felt this was most unfair. Our room was also only on the 1st floor. The food itself was fine, but it cannot possibly take 45 minutes to prepare a ham sandwich and a plain burger. The whole appearance of the place was jaded and tired and in need of a good deep clean. Finally, playing Christams songs, in november, on a constant loop, when there is not a decoration or festive touch in sight, is irritating at best.
The hotel is a fiver taxi drive to town but you save with the free parking. Clean rooms /better value than a premier inn. Staff pleasant ideal for a night stopver when going to a gig
everything except creaky floorboards
Free wifi and free car parking were massive pluses when booking and something we always look for. Staff were excellent also rooms very clean and tidy. Very pleased with proper size coffee cups which was good. Overall enjoyed the stay and would recommend the hotel
Bus ride from city centre but it's a very convenient bus service so not a big problem. All the positives make up for it
The location was good. Was only there overnight, so I can't review too much. Although the member of staff was on the phone when we arrived, she didn't look up once to at least aknowledge us, and told us we were on the ground floor. After going up two lots of steps, we were looking down on the dining room. I would stay again, but only on a deal.
Parking was a bit precarious. Room, although massive, could have done with a little loving, didn't feel very welcoming in the room. Nothing worn out, but very basic.
