No heating No telephone Toilet flush doesnt work Rude staff Horribly smelly rooms
Meals had to be ordered in advance even for one person?
The staff that we met were helpful, friendly and seemed motivated to provide a good service.
The furnishings, decor etc seemed to resemble something from the 1950's and clearly have been in the rooms since at least then.
Location on the Beach
Small room, bathroom was too small, noisy hotel, doors slamming, old carpets, I wanted an evening meal and was told they were running out of food, and to do to the high street. i did not eat Breakfast too late for me,
Location was good
Hotel decor needs attention
Breakfast - well organised, clean and pleasant room, prompt service, good food. Quiet apart from the seagulls. Central position, if that is what you are looking for. Right by the sea front.
Noisy seagulls - not much the hotel could do about that though, but the windows could not be shut tightly.
Horrible location, deceptive picture which was far from reality, room smelling of paint and a hotel in a noisy road front - a motorway travelodge would have been more peaceful and value for money
Parking a bit limited
Location. Nice view
Too hot in the room. The windows could not be opened.
Food was ok
Owner not wellcoming and it was dirty and not value for my money
Staff where very helpful and friendly from start to finish of stay would go back again Room was nice clean and tidy recommended to friends and family
We stayed one night when going to a concert. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean.
Very popular with coach parties of OAP's. Not really our scene. Breakfast was extra and not really great quality.
The hotel room was spacious and immaculately clean, the en suite was superb, the staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them, there was plenty of information in the room and a bar with entertainment, the view from the hotel was stunning as its a sea view,we would definitely recommend this hotel and can't wait to return for another break.
i suppose the one small criticism was breakfast took rather a long time to arrive but to be fair to them they were very busy and had several coach loads of people to serve, so you can forgive the waiting time because the rest of the stay was fantastic
Good bedroom Good view of the sea Good Bar / TV room
TV in bedroom didn't work
good location. very heipful staff
tv poor could not get bbc 1 or2.only watched itv 1 or news 24, rest unavailable or poor reception
we stayed for one night visiting friends, the room we had (number 9) was lovely & clean the bed was comfortable and it was nice & quite so we had a good nites sleep, even though it was very busy down stairs we didn't hear a thing! will definitely be stayin here again!
didn't like the idea of bein asked to leave my car keys with total strangers with it bein a brand new car, the car park is only small so we left the car to make sure we had a space & took the keys with us, we made sure we didn't block anybody in b4 we went out for the evenin!
I like the way the staff talk to u and we're very helpful in even thing
No breakfast in the £65 we paid for the room
Staff were really pleasant and breakfast was lovely
Twin beds were both really uncomfortable, very basic room, bar facilities and entertainment needed some updating!
there was no entertainment no meals offered money taken before I even got into the room it was cold in the room had to ask several times for a heater the running so called hot water was cold and the was a smell about the room floor board had holes in them not what I would call a very good hotel
Nice clean room friendly staff and would definitely go back
For a short bank holiday break it was ideal in a good location and with smoking facilites even better
Not a good veiw only a car park to look at
Avery comfortable horel clean and in a good location
This poor old girl has definitely seen better days. The staff were friendly and helpful and did their best to look happy. The room was reasonably clean considering how old everything was. Overall I guess you get what you pay for.
To advertise this hotel as " been lovingly restored to it's former glory " was a bit of a fib and a lot of imagination was needed.
