Decent location for restaurants and shops Poor sound insulation, the room was small and a little tired but okay. Unfortunately there were hoards of young foreign adults running up and down the corrior and shouting to their mates. Ill-fitting manhole cover outside hotel clunked everytime a car drove over it and smokers gathered to chat outside the hotel and under the room. Probably a bit unlucky but not experienced this at other similar priced hotels. |

Location of the hotel is really good, Hyde park in 7 mins walking distance, 5 min to the station Queensway, and you around Queensway you can find good restaurants and shops. The room wasn't clean enough, found few hairs around. |

Breakfast times; 06.30 until 12.00 hrs. The location; park and tube station (bayswater) nearby. In-house tourist information staff; someone dedicated to give tourist information. Hot and cold water, to be able to get a comfortable hot shower the cold water in the sink must be opened. Although, we did not report this to the staff because the solution of opening the cold water in the sink was ok for us. |

Staff service and breakfast are good. The size of the bathroom in the single room is only suitable for person less than 150 lbs. The stairs and smoke doors in the corridor are not friendly to person with large luggage. |

it was a very pleasant stay, perfect location in bayswater, just about 5 to 8 minutes to 2 different tube stations (district and circle, central line), quiet street, 2 minutes to queensway with a lot of restaurants and pubs, a really nice room, good offer for the value the breakfast situation is for the "breakfast country" really poor, i mean 6 pound for a continental breakfast of 4 items (coffee/tea is one item, bread the second, etc.) i recommend some cafés or pubs around |

my stay was spoilt by the noise of creaking floors from above and the lift motors. |

Very nice, clean and comfortable. There's a lovely park just past Bayswater Underground, for those who like a morning walk, and there's also a great selection of resturants in the Bayswater area. Yes, the room we were first put in, had a bathroom, (if you could call it a bathroom) so small the shower was in with the toilet, which my partner couldn't even get into it. Beware of room 416. |

The room was small but clean and the housekeepers came in and kept it clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was stuffy, I know that air conditioning is maybe not needed but a fan in the room would have been helpfull. |

The hotel is conviently situated (less than 10 min's walk from Bayswater tube station) in a nice area of London, close to Notting Hill. Breakfast is good - though not included in the price -. Rooms are clean. Presence of a concierge who will help you find addresses, give you a map of the city, etc. It's all a bit shabby: my room looked like an "upgraded" youth hostel bedroom. |

The location was ok. This Hotel was horrible....please dont be fooled by the other reviews. We were a family of 4 and were put in a normal hotel sized room with 4 bunk beds where the mattress springs left permanent marks on my back. The bathroom so small that you literally could not turn round in it! The furniture was old and tattered and the beds squeaked and creaked with every move. The room walls were so thin that we listened to every other room door slam all through the night!...we have travelled to Europe every year for the last 10 years and the Umi is probably the worst hotel that we have ever stayed in. This is more of a Hostel not a Hotel. |

Position very good and felt safe. Rooms well presented. Staff helpful and friendly. 5 minute walk to tubes. Shops/pubs/restaurants all nearby. Don't bother with a superior room and the additional cost. We had 3 rooms - 2 superior and 1 ordinary double. In the double, the bed was bigger, the room bigger and also quieter. Only diff was the superior rooms got biscuits each day! |
