The price and the location -near the station and the city centre. The hotel room looked more or less like in the photos, there was a kettle, tea, coffee, cardboard cup and 2 shampoo/body wash sachets. The room is en suite, the bathroom is small but adequate. The receptionist was nice and helpful. Wi fi was available in public areas (a nice place with sofas and chairs) and worked well. There’s a bar and a restaurant, I didn’t use them, so can’t say much. The night I stayed in (Sun/Mon) was peaceful and quiet. The room is very basic, so don’t expect any extra facilities. The interior is a bit worn out, there was a bit of mould on the ceiling.

It's close to down town Manchester. If the room faces the interior court it is quite at night, Minimun facilities, Hotel staff no very usefull. It is joined to the Days inn hotel but not really part of it. So you get second class tretment. For the same price I had a room in the Britannia Hotel downtown.

It was close to the City Centre I stayed in the Conference Centre about 3 years ago, It was under my name and I booked the hotel as it was conveniant and close to the town centre. The Room was very clean and spacious. The reason I booked again was because it was comfortable. However I booked the 3 nights from the 24th Aug - 27th Aug. I booked via booking.com - I specifically asked for a non smoking room & emailed booking.com in advance to ask for the hotel to pay for my room before i arrived. booking.com acknowledged they sent my request for the payment to be made right away! I myself work as Reservations Supervisor in a 4 Star Resort hotel and Spa and I am familliar with the 3rd party web engine bookings procedure. If I recieve requests from my guests prior to arrival, these are met and completed in advance! I checked in to the hotel and the gentleman was very nice, but it was very clear that my reservation was not put on your booking system as i could see that the Registration cards had already been filed and ready for signing as guests checked in before me. It took about 10 minutes to get me booked in as i knew you were fully booked and the guy was trying to get me a room number, i asked if there was a problem & was my booking not on the system, it was very clear from his facial expression it wasnt!! I eventually got checked in, I was surprised to get an actual key for the room?! rather than a key card like my previous stay at the same months 3 years before! I went to go to my room, and as i said i specifically asked for a none smoking room, I walked in and the room was stinking of smoke!! i was clearly put in a smoking floor, i went back to reception and explained that i booked a non smoking room, again i was waiting for the re arranging of rooms. I asked for a key card rather than a key, i was told that you were fully booked! i received another key to another room eventually. I went to the room & it was like an ice box!! it was really cold.

Very good location, very near the centre of Manchester. Good value for money, compared with the prices of other hotels. The overall quality of the hotel and rooms is a little poor (finishes, furniture, doors, etc.).

Location is near two railway stations. I saw a tiny bug crawling on the bed so I checked out a night earlier, and had to arrange my own accommodation. I was told that rooms were only available in the same block I stayed in hence chosen to leave. I was promised a refund of the night I didn't stay which never happened. Another remark is that there is a very weird smell in the alleys and the lift, however the room didn't have any unpleasant smell in it.

The location is perfect by a 15 minutes walk from Piccadilly station, the staff is friendly, plenty of coffee and teabags provided in the room. The hallway is quite dusty and smells bad. The room carpet is a bit dirty.

It's cheap and close to UMIST and handy for the city center. The shower is very good. The room is very shabby, with shelves hanging off the wall. Only a couple of cheap shirt hangers in the wardrobe so no way to hang up trousers. The shelf in the bottom of the wardrobe had collapsed.

Staff were extremely accommodating in view of the fact that we were a party of 26 and quite noisy and excited on arrival. and the receptionists sorted out our bookings in a very calm and organised manner. The staff in the restaurant were also very pleasant. The only thing that was a problem was the noise from the pub across the road. This was extremely loud up until 4 am and therefore I didn't sleep very well. The matress was a little lumpy but for the money I wouldn't complain.

Hi, I was really impressed with the lady at the reception named 'Alla'. Her honesty and professionalism was impeccable. When I check out fromm the hotel in the morning, I accidental forgot my wallet loaded with cash and credit cards in my room and I only recalled after few hours that I have forgotten my wallet. I immediately called at the hotel reception and she picked up the phone. She comforted me saying not to worry about as she will go the room and personally have a look and will keep it secure if found. When I reached back to the hotel she gave my walletback with smile with everything in my wallet untouched. She is an angel to restore the faith in humanity.Million thanks to her ! Warm regards, Ritwiz Singh

The location I didn't like the toilets: too uncomfortable! The toilet bowl was too close to the sink, which made it difficult to sit down on it. The shower head was loose and the jet of water did not flow properly, spilling drops of water everywhere. The cleaners never cleaned my room and the toilet properly. They never mopped or hoovered the floor and once they did not even change the toilet roll. They never changed the bed sheets.
