I am responding on behalf of 3 guests that I booked into your hotel last week.Their comments are s ummarised as follows:- 2 of the rooms were totally unsuitable with unsatisfactory bathroom facilities, together with one room with no Wi fi coverage, non working kettle requiring the individual being relocated for the second night of his stay. Staff'@ breakfast were unable to take even the simplest of orders & their was no others in the breakfast area to create any confusion. Staff on check out were not in control of my guests departure re payment for the accomodation & breakfast which had been discussed & pre paid the day before with the necessary details being confirmed on line. The unfortunate thing is that the hotel is ideally positioned geographically for our future use but I cannot see how I can place others at this hotel if my staff''s recent experience is anything to go by. Additionally my gusets found that the menu was expensive & therefore they chose to eat out on both evenings.

The Building looks well from the outside lovely character, The guy at the desk was friendly The house interior is sadly disappointing inside for a house of its character fitting £20 moulded panel doors in the rooms is unforgiveable costcuting, The feeling is of clutter and atmosphere is of a place that is tired and uninterested. The following morning while sitting in the lounge I was treated in (great detail I should add) to a lesson on repair and maintence of an oil burner that eminated from the reception area ( the back of house workings should never be aired front of house, very unprofessional ) The bed was acceptable but the room was too small for it. I was 15 minutes late for a cooked breakfast that had been paid for, the best the lady could offer was toast & coffee, I helped myself to the remains of the grapefruit , I was asked to leave the dining room to eat else where no doubt there is a reason for this but that was not explained to me. For the price I shouldn't really complain but I was expecting more, Shall not be going back.

It's set in a lovely area, the hotel is a great historic place. We totally enjoyed our stay and will book again. We didn't realise at the time of our booking,(a mistake on my part) that we could have taken our dog. Also in our particular room (I think was 45 at Bulkington Hotel, over looking the front car park) the hair dryer wasn't near to the mirror, and it couldn't be moved because it was fixed through the bedside cabinet. Even though we really enjoyed out stay, my husband would have prefered to be asked if there was anything his didn't want with his english breakfast, as it came with hash browns and baked beens which his doesn't like. I'm aware we could have mentioned this, but it would be nice to be asked, as part of the service. Hope to be back in 2012.

The location was very good, easy to find and quiet. The food was excellent. We had six evening meals at the hotel and both the bar meals and restaurant meals were very good. A nice size bathroom although the shower was barely adequate. Very useful having free wifi network which worked in our room for most of the week and in the public bar and lounge otherwise.

The whole experiance was lovely, we stayed for our wedding anniversary, so it was great to have some time to ourselves and relax. The food is fantastic, service second to none. Lovely garden area, but there is lots of scope to carry on with the garden impovements, such as the greehouse and veg plot! some extra seating would be good too, but still a lovely place. The only thing I'd like to say is the hairdryer wasn't near a mirror, the dryer was in the bedside draw, and the mirror was on the opposite wall by the door, too far away to be of any use if drying your hair. Apart from that the room and facilities were great. The other suggestion it would be great if there was room for any beauty treatments or realxing therapies.

We stayed overnight to enable us to attend a family funeral early the next day. Staff were friendly, very welcoming and showed empathy for what was a sad occasion for us. Hotel was very clean and comfortable with good facilites that suited our needs perfectly. Breakfast excellent. Would certainly recommend to others and would definitely stay here again.

The staff were courteous and attentive. The breakfasts were cooked to order and of a good standard. Nice outside areas to sit and enjoy a drink. The room we had although having a very comfortable large Double bed it was too big for the size of the room so made the ease of access in the room difficult.

Quiet surroundings. What you see is what you get. Good value for money.Easy to find and park. Dinner was good value . We felt rushed for breakfast as our main course arrived before we finished our cereals External paintwork in desperate need for attention which detracts from the experience. Old vehicles ( abandoned ?) in the car park..

A beautiful building in a good, quiet location. The staff are excellent just not enough of them. The bedroom was clean and well equipped but very small, a bit like a corridor with a bulge at the end for the bed. Also half the ceiling was at 45 degrees as it formed part of the roof. Having said all this it was ok for one night and I would not hesitate to return to stay in the hotel again.
