On arrival there was no record of our booking very worrying! This was the fault of booking.com who did not forward the booking which was made several months ago! No fridges in the room. Stairs toooooo steep!

Lovely room with excellent facilities - reasonable price Attended family/friend diamond wedding celebration - meal, service and atmosphere was very good indeed Lovely breakfast

All the staff were friendly..the food was very nice and the dining room extremely pleasant..Michelle serving breakfast merits special mention. She went out of her way to be helpful and was very friendly. The room was nice and comfortable if a little over furnished which made it difficult to move around in. All in all though a nice stay in a very pleasant old building.

The bathroom smelled musty which was rectified by leaving the window open all the time albeit extremely cold outside. The shower was not user friendly due to low water pressure.

Having to move rooms because the radiators were not working and the room was very cold. Handled professionally by reception but was an inconvenience.

Good location. A comfortable hotel with history.

The digital TV reception was intermittent.

Bed... Comfortable. Shower... Powerfully refreshing. Bathroom... Clean. Room... Warm. Sevice... V good. Food... V Tasty. All in all, very satisfied.

The front of the Hotel was beautiful, old, quaint. And a nice fireplace in the Bar area

Rooms were: Cold Old and grubby Bathroom was dingy, Shower was like a trickle Then - we were suffering from Jet-Lag so the following morning, we did not get out of the room until 12:20 when check out time was 12:00 (we were only 20 minutes past check out time), and I was charged a check out late fee!. The hotel was not even busy, and when I asked why, I was told by the front desk, that I was luck, normally they charge a 50gbp late fee, but they were only going to charge me 25gbp, like it was a favor to me. I was appalled! And to rub matter in, I left a tip as well, because Im good like that, but my family and I will never stay there again and I will not recommend this hotel to any of my friends...

The room was good value for money

Not enough staff on duty so always waiting for service of some kind or another whether in the bar or restaurant. I felt really sorry for the young girlseving breakfast all alone whilst the receptionist sat doing nothing in full view!!! Poor team spirit possibly?

Comfy, lovely old building with nice grounds and plenty of free parking. Everything I needed available - tv, ironing board, tea/coffee facilities etc etc.

Staff seemed disinterested in visitors. Not a single smile all weekend.

Accommodation: The five rooms I booked where all in poor decoration, small and crammed with furniture, making it almost impossible, in my room, to circumnavigate the bed to open the rusty window. Food: Based on the various dishes ordered by our party of five over the two nights, it appeared most where deep-fat fried. This must also be said for the breakfasts (I cannot recommend deep-fat-fried mushrooms to start the day).

Nice location. Room was quiet in the evening. Food was good. The lady serving in the restaurant was very friendly and helpful. Lovely old building. Would definetely stay again.

.Some staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was good and grounds wete pretty.

Room was small, with very little circulation space. Mattress very soft and uncomfortable . Window looked out onto a wall . Shower splitter was broken and kept revertiing to scalding hot water. We went to the breakfast room at 9.30am and they were vacumming the corridors and reception areas. We felt hurried out.

My/Our stay at Weston Hall Hotel was 'most' pleasurable! The Manager (Ian) and his assistant (Sam) were lovely people and, so were 'all' of the staff - cleaners included! Nothing was 'ever' too much trouble!... I would definately recomend this 'beautiful Hotel to anyone & everyone looking for a peaceful break in 'splendiferous' & 'wonderfully' located hotel!!! The restaurant was pleasant, the food was first class. The staff were friendly, especially the young girl that served us in the restaurant on the Saturday night. The place was lovely and clean. Beautiful old building and lovely grounds.

The room was cramped and very basic. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds we've ever known, it desperately needed a new mattress - we didn't sleep well at all. The view from the restaurant windows was a breezeblock wall - not very attractive considering the beauty of the building and grounds. The room looked over the rooftops of the other buildings - also not very attractive. When anybody shut one of their doors in the corridor it was deafening in the other rooms. I didn't think about the possability of a wedding going on at the time of booking and of course the music went on until midnight. That wasn't so bad, but when some of the wedding guests went to their rooms just after, they started arguing with another couple and swearing at the top of their voices, with no thought to other guests. (I know that is not the hotels fault, but maybe it is something that could be addressed? Maybe warn people there is a wedding booked at the time of booking the room? And maybe some supervision?) This could be a lovely hotel with a little updating.
