Beautiful decorated rooms, one minute from the beach, very friendly staff
Everything. It is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The staff were brilliant and very helpful, our room was fantastic and very comfortable with a view over the sea and the Isle of Wight. We will definitely be making a return visit.
Lovely setting ,peaceful ,lovely old building close to the new forest. Rooms tastefully decorated and spacious.
The building was beautiful, the accommodation comfortable.
The elegant dining room was let down by the "bog standard" Hall & Woodhouse pub menu; the food was poorly prepared - no attempt to serve anything local or seasonal.
the beach house was full of charm and character in an excellent position overlooking the sea, just wish there had been an evening menu (same as during the day),overall enjoyed the stay.
Myself and my girlfriend stayed here to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and loved the feel and style of the hotel. The room was spotless and stylish with a stunning view of the sea. The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. The location is set away from the local village and near the beach which gives it a really nice secluded feel.
The staff were great nothing too much trouble. Room was excellent, overall atomsphere was very pleasant and friendly.
The evening dinners were at times not up to much. Over inflated prices for some basis meals which were poorly presented and over cooked. Review of evening menu required and pricing.
The extremely enthusiastic and helpful staff, in particular the barman. The bedroom was lovely and bright. Super comfy large bed, crisp sheets and the option to change pillows to suit. All contributed to a great nights sleep.
Unfortunately the breakfast. The toast and the poached eggs were cold! Such a shame as everything else exceeded expectations.
Quirky, huge superior rooms with big beds and huge bathrooms all decorated in the period of the building. This was our third visit in under 12 months and we were recognised by several of the staff. This is a very well run establishment where all the staff and management work together no one says its not my job, if they are busy all chip in. It is obviously popular with the locals as the restaurant is always well used. Views from the rooms of the Isle of Wight are wonderful. The breakfast is a very high standard and the bar food very good quality pub grub. For a long weekend or special occasion give it a try.
I am sure there are people who would find fault but I have used hotels all over the western world and I can find nothing negative to say about this one.
The decor of the hotel was great, period features everywhere. The bed was a good size and very comfy. Bathroom was nice and new and clean. Room size good and food excellent. Staff were polite.
Our room was just above the kitchen so was noisy as we had the windows orn
My 10 year old and I loved it! Right on the beach!! Views were fab, food was delicious, staff couldn't do enough for us and the room, which was in their annex was perfect; spacious, very clean, beautifully decorated and comfy. Will defo stay here again and recommend to all :-)
Nothing. Unlike me but couldn't find anything to complain about :)
The Beach House is a fantastic place to stay. The standards are extremely high and I couldn't fault it. We stayed in the Lilac Room with it's fab bathroom and it was immaculate. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and we would definitely go back.
Nothing - can't fault it!
Staff Location Comfortable bed Food.breakfast was great
Large rooms, recently refurbished with good amenities (TV, kettle, radio). Clean, spacious bathroom with excellent plumbing. Generally friendly staff. Breakfasts were well presented and varied, all cooked to order. Tremendous views from rooms and outside areas.
This is basically a large pub with 16 bedrooms. the atmosphere in the morning, when the pub is not open, is like a large country house but this changes during the day as customers arrive. It is very busy (parking was a problem when we arrived at 9 pm) and quite noisy until 11.30 pm when the staff leave the bar. Rooms vary considerably in size and outlook.
No problem with dogs being allowed in the hotel but found it unusual that they were allowed in areas where people ate.
A short walk down to the beach or a short stroll in the village and watch the world go by on the village green. Absolutely stunning and would highly recommend to anyone seeking peace and tranquility.
Friendly staff, clean comfortable room.
wonderful location with beautiful details, very good food and a very nice service. absolutely nothing was wrong
great views and location, nice breakfast and restaurant food.
This place felt like a lovely home where the owners said. Help yourself and enjoy your stay. Then left for the day The decor is relaxing friendly and real the atmosphere is comforting and friendly. The breakfast was spot on. Loved it
Wanted to stay longer but had to return due to working commitments. In other words. Nothing
Room decor, Friendly and welcoming staff, flexible check in, beautiful period features throughout the building, ample car parking. Friendly hotel cat!
all the staff were very friendly the meals were excellent and the room was lovely the view was excellent we looked out to the needles of the isle of white
Decor Food Location
Our room was very small and quite hot.
Fantastic quality hotel/B and B, fantastic location, superb grounds, well cooked food, staff extremely friendly and relaxed. We had large double which was very large. Room has no phone which we liked! Shabby sheek décor which wife loved. Beautiful windows and panelled walls.
The fact we had to leave!
