Fabulous,
Score from 126 reviews
“ I loved the location right on the beach front, staff were friendly enthusiastic and more than happy to help. The wesite does not do this hotel justice, I was impressed with the rooms. They were bright clean and luxurious more than adequately equipped. Food was great - more than happy to stay again. ”

Good staff who were not to fussy and allowed you relax and enjoy your stay. Fantastic building with amazing views of the Isle of Wight and the Needles. Food in the restaurant was good. Room was very hot. Windows fully opened so got a great breeze through.

Style of the Beach House, facilities and where it is situated are all good. I would recommend it to others and would stay again, but might seek other options for an evening meal.. The heating in the room came on unexpectedly at 1.00 am, staff said they were aware of the problem and it was being fixed. Sunday evening meal didn't live up to expectations.

professional, friendly, attentive staff. the location was lovely with views from the sea and great for walking by the coast. Interesting building, imposing yet pleasant Although only the 'small' room was available-it was lovely with good attention to detail and very well interior designs The food was OK but not tremendous,-breakfasts better. The public areas need decorating.

The decor of the hotel was comfortable and cosy. We stayed in an annex room, overlooking the car park; it was comfortable, well decorated and suprisingly comfortable. We woudl definatey stay here again. There were only 3 members of staff on duty. They covered the reception area, the bar and the restaurent. They were obviously overworked, but having said this, they were cheerful and attentive to the guests. The speed at which they were running around was not conducive to a relaxing atmosphere and I felt very sorry for them.

An absolutely beautiful hotel that takes you back to the 1950s (half expected to see Hercule Poirot snooping around on various occasions) breakfast was amazing (we're gutted we didn't eat on the evening before) we strongly reccomend the bloody marys also, our room (8) was just wonderful, Perhaps the choice of pictures in our room were a little out of place but that's down to taste ! Everything else is just perfect

They were bright clean and luxurious more than adequately equipped. Food was great - more than happy to stay again. The only thing i can think of is not much to do for a family or children as the location is very quiet. but the hotel itself is very good.

The location and building were excellent. The whole thing is shabby and needs a lot of TLC. The toiletries were old and needed replacing, the bathrooms were not cleaned properly. The guest information was scant and poorly proof read as it indicated that there was and was not room service. As it turned out room service did not exsist another minus factor. The doors were locked at 23:00 Mon-Sat and 10:30 on Sundays. I requested a seaview and did not receive one in the three rooms that I booked.

The staff were friendly, available and accomodating. The oak panel and stained glass interior was delightful giving the hotel the appearance of a mini stately home. It would not be out of place as a location Agatha Christie would have loved to create a mystery around, you could almost imagine Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple to be seated at an adjacent dining table. The room was large and well equipped with a good sized en-suite, desk, sofa and king sized bed. The views over the Solent towards West Wight at the rear are beautiful and the menu selection is varied and good value as is the inclusive breakfast. our room was quite stuffy and whilst an air conditioner was fitted it did not cool the room sufficiently. A minor niggle was no remote for the television and the metal garden chair at the desk looked out of place and was uncomfortable.

Location is great and its best selling point. Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. We only had breakfast at the hotel, so can't comment on any other food, but that was fine. Our room (The Yellow Room) was lovely, clean and comfortable - we both slept very well. Only minor issue was the shower in our room, was not very powerful and was never that warm - the last day it was quite cool.

We liked the service and them warm welcome. We loved the stain glass windows and the staircase. It is a lovely building. Even though there is work taking place it did not take away from the ambience.
