There is such a relaxing atmosphere at The Beach House, you wind down immediately on arrival. Highly recommended - we shall be going back!
Design of the rooms, Monsoon shower, friendly staff, great beers, good location, great views and beach at rear of garden, affordable pub style food.
Nothing really and I'm a bit fussy about staying in hotels, went to Rhinefield hotel down the road to look at and it was completely soulless so glad we didn't stay there!
Good food, nice ambience and pleasant staff
Bedroom central heating wasn't very good
Location and room
Slow service staff polite but did not exceed expectation
From the friendly cheerful staff to the beautifully decorated and spacious bedrooms, this hotel was a hit with us in every single way. We had two nights in Launcelot and ate evening meals there for both nights. The communal rooms were great – really atmospheric and interesting. The hotel is an Arts and Crafts building with most of the original features.
It would have been nice if the fire had been lit in the dining room and the sitting room (billiard room).
It was absolutely gorgeous. We stayedt in the little cottage bit.it had a seperate lounge area and the decor was beautiful all nautial. We ate in the resteraunt and again first class and nót pricey. Breakfast was excellent. Sad to leave.
The French waiter The location The comfortable room
The evening menu was awful The wetroom in our room
Fantastic accomodation, I had a standard double, which had a large double bedroom, a separate lounge area and a large modern en-suite, all to a high standard of decor (even had TWO televisions!). Food was also of a high standard, very reasonably priced as well! - I would highly recomend a stay hear.
All the staff were very friendly and very professional. The ambience of the whole hotel made our stay one of the best experiences to date. Very dog friendly. Food very good , but we only had dinner once. Lovely breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend . Thanks
Spacious well equipped rooms. Fantastic food Friendly staff Amazing premises Resident cat Lancelot was very welcoming
Cold room on arrival Noise from kitchen could be heard in room
The location was excellent for being near the sea. The rooms are lovely and have everything you would need supplied. Staff are very helpful.
Some of the food we had was not great. We both had steak for dinner of which one was undercooked and the other was very tough. The cooked breakfast had pieces that seemed to have been fried in some kind of oil which left a very odd taste.
We only stayed for one night but had a great time! The staff were friendly, the hotel was more than comfortable and the views stunning! After only one night we were refreshed and relaxed! Would definitely return!
No bubble bath provided to go with the bath in our room.
Everything. Along with the most accommodating charming staff who made my moms 80th birthday treat even more enjoyable
Th fact that we had to leave boo hoo
Beautiful location, staff were very friendly and could not have been any more accomodating. Breakfast was incredible and a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
the room, the view, the relaxed atmosphere, the lovely open fire on a horrid wet Saturday
Lovely hotel, already know the area, hadn't been since the refurbishment. Good choice of food, very helpful staff.
Friendly, family type hotel with a great location, and good value for money restaurant
We loved this place. Try to book one of the superior rooms which are gorgeous with lovely beds and bedlinen, complete with luxury bathroom. The whole place is full of charm and character. We didn't eat there apart from breakfast. Highly recommend the Kedgeree! The location is great and there is ample opportunity to take lovely long walks along the beach. Highly recommended.
Everything, service, location, staff and atmosphere.
Atmosphere, professional and welcoming staff, location. Definitely want to return.
My room had a sea view, comfortable seating, plenty of refreshments, luxury bathroom. Evening meal was reasonably priced. Breakfast plentiful. Attentive staff for a solo traveller. Great location.
Food wasn't hot I wonder if this was because staff didn't realise order was for one, perhaps waited for a second plate of food??
lovely building and location, staff very helpful, very good food, would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.
we were in the annexe, which was very nice but nowhere to store clothes only a cupboard to hang things up.
The location is beautiful, our superior room certainly lived up to its name,it was gorgeous and the bathroom was out of this world! The staff are really friendly and work really hard. Despite reading some bad reviews regarding the food,we were pleasantly surprised and couldn't fault it. We will certainly be returning one day soon.
