The hotel itself is spotless and well maintained, if a little dated. The set menu is basic but extremely good value and the breakfast was served hot and quickly by pleasant and efficient staff. The swimming pool is small but deep with a diving board which our child loved. Be aware that the hotel is built on a forked road, one road is quiet and the other busy. The family room we originally booked was right alongside the busy road. The owner was very understanding when we asked and had the availability to move us to two other rooms on the quieter road and we therefore had a very enjoyable stay.

It is a friendly run hotel. The food was very homely and lots of it. Its a great hotel for a relaxing break. Our children was 12 and 16 so apart from the pool table and swimming pool nothing for them to do at the hotel but so much to do in Jersey it didnt matter.

We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to interconnecting double and twin rooms when we arrived, which were really spacious. This was unexpected and we really appreciated it. Service was excellent throughout our stay. We have 2 children aged 12 and 8 and they were very happy with the holiday. Very impressive, obliging and friendly long- standing manager - everything runs like clockwork. Breakfast 8.15-9.15; dinner 6.30-7.30 (you can let them know if you want dinner by as late as 6pm). We were particularly very impressed with the 4 course dinners for £6 per head - really good food and a good selection each night . Eating out generally is rather expensive on the island. Great breakfasts as well, usual selection, full English etc and there was plenty of toast!! We did not have any 'toast' issues - I think someone else reviewed the hotel previously and commented on there not being any extras allowed, but we were fine. Waitresses gave great service. Hotel is slightly out of the way but we had a hire car which meant no problems for us. Hotel in quite a good location for exploring the island as a whole - nothing is that far away in fact. I beleive there are bus services to take you about if you don't have a car. The pool, though quite small, was great for a pre-dinner dip for the kids, has a diving board and is quite private. It was warmer than the sea! Overall a really pleasant stay and we would definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family - would suggest getting a car though for ease of touring.

The management and staff, were always able to make every guest feel welcome and special in every way. Faultless is the word that seems most appropriate. The hotel has a comfortable, efficient and happy atmosphere, which is the reason that so many guests go back to it time after time. The quiet location is also a plus point and the hotel has its own pool, and safe and easy parking. we will certainly be going back to enjoy being pampered again.

It was in a good geographical position for touring the island. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Parking was very tight with only just enough space for everyone. Meal times were restricted to an hour each for breakfast and dinner.

Good choice of different foods every night, even catering for vegetarians. Food also plentyful and tasty using local ingredients where possible. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Plenty of places to set outside the property in sun or shade. Bus stops outside hotel and lots of information on noticeboards about the buses and attractions.

Quality of the room and clarity of booking. Good service. It did not matter as I used the shower for cold water to add to hot for a bath, but the bath cold water supply did not work (room 29).
