There was a warm welcome, comfortable room with all facilities, and the breakfast was a delight. A wide variety on the menu and all well cooked. The accommodation made our holiday so much better.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were available but not in your face.
There was nothing we didn't like about this guest house.
Lavinia was a warm and friendly hostess and nothing was too much trouble for her.
The daily climb up from the sea front, although good for general fitness can be quite gruelling in hot weather.
Friendly host and staff. Good breakfast choice. Pleasant room.
Beautiful views of bay, lovely room and house full of interesting art from around the world. Eating breakfast on outdoor terrace in sunshine
Long, Noisy Skype/telephone conversations by landlady on terrace outside guest bedrooms so had to keep windows shut for peace and quiet on warm afternoons!
Excellent room, comfortable bed and outstanding breakfasts
The B&B is at the top of a steep hill - not a problem for us, but it is a big climb!
Relaxed, friendly & great place to stay.
Breakfast in the conservatory
Nothing on the whole but the bathroom needed a little attention( mould )
This the best b & b place to stay in the UK. Lavinia, the hostess, was friendly but unobtrusive. We stayed in the amethyst room for 3 nights, which was sheer luxury. Breakfasts were brilliant, location great and room from view excllent. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.
Good breakfast and comfortable beds
Nothing was too much trouble for Lavinia, the owner. A very friendly atmosphere and an excellent choice of breakfasts.
Decor of the room Good breakfast Pleasant staff and landlady
Room a bit small Parking awkward Remarks on the information folder re. how the visitors should behave,it would be sufficient to ask people to respect the house and treat it as they would their own home.
Views, atmosphere efficient yet relaxed, food, comfortable sleeping
Nothing to speak of
ROOMS BREAKFAST STAFF
The View, Lavinia and a great choice of breakfast... oh and the huge comfy bed! We'll stay there again
Parking is a bit tight due to the premium space needed for parking in Lyme but managable
Made to feel really welcome, given lots of information about the area. Good location.
Superb standard of accomodation for a B&B Could find no fault whatsoever.
Everything was perfect.Lovely owner, nothing too much trouble.Staff and chef excellent.Would thoroughly recommend.
The hospitality and welcome, location with amazing view were all superb. The choices for breakfast were very, very good and the food delicious. The room was modern, clean and comfortable and felt even sumptuous compared to a lot of B&B s. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
I cannot think of anything.
Very clean modern decor
A few too many rules, most probably aimed at the less careful guests
Location and quality
access to balcony breakfast
room somewhat cramped
Good location in walking distance of town centre. Generous breakfasts. Comfortable bed. Well proportioned and solid house. Fresh milk in fridge in bedroom to make a cuppa in the mornings.
Good to have parking - essential in Lyme Regis - but it was rather cramped/tight and steep. Shower needed upgrading. I think the room might have been rather airless in hotter weather as only the top section of the window could open, and not all that widely.
