Just opposite the Queen's College playing fields and a 10-minute walk from Oxford city centre, the Falcon B&B is within 2 late-Victorian town houses and offers views of the college boathouses.

Location quiet but easily accessible by car. Staff very helpful and great breakfast
Sloping roof in the attic rooms and the slippery (when wet) floor in the bathroom are quite dangerous - take care. That said a bathmat was provided.
Nice cosy hotel, fantastic staff.
Shower could me better.
Great hotel and good service!very friendly! Thank you!!!
The night receptionist the most stupid person I hv ever met .
This is a very fine hotel where you can spend a quiet time. The staff are very accommodating. The venue is not too large so it does not attract huge conferences including self-important business people who monopolise hotel lounges and talk at the top of their voices about their plans to take over the universe. The food is very good including breakfast and dinner.
The heating is switched off for part of the day so it can get a bit cold however staff will provide an electronic heater.
Bathroom facilities showing age. Modern shower would improve facility.
Staff Friendleness and Excellent service Reception Area Hotel Location (only just out of town) Bed very comfortable Car parking Bar Staff
Water (Power) on shower head (Note - when mentioned to reception the following morning - a small discount + apology was given - which I thought was fantastic and acceptable!)
Hotel was clean, room good size.
Staff didn't seem to be overly interested in being that welcoming. Thought it was overpriced for what we paid.
They take a deposit of £250 as you check in. The manager didn't explain this properly and true staff weren't confident talking about it. Needs to be clearer from the off.
Like the cottage style hotel with large garden
The meal and the breakfast are not very professional but acceptable. The people are very helpful. But the facilities are getting old and need to be fixed. Overall It is a nice experience to stay there.
Convenience, comfort, peaceful.
The surrounding is beautiful.
The room was well furnished, spacious, with easy access to the car park. It was also warm (as we were there during a cold spell). The night was very quiet with little or no traffic noise. Other guests were considerate in terms of shutting doors quietly. Dinner was excellent value with fresh food. Breakfast was cooked to order and used eggs from chickens in the yard. Staff were all helpful. As the hotel is slightly out of the way, and as public areas are not large and do not have round tables conducive to meetings, there was no plethora of 'masters of the universe' having meetings and talking with immense and immensely unbearable self-importance on mobile phones. (This is the main problem with some otherwise very fine hotels in Oxford - they are taken over by very inconsiderate people during the daytime hours.) WiFI connection in the lounge area was first rate.
WiFi in the room was intermittent due to signal strength. Location is very good but it does require a drive in to the town as it is not walking distance. As there are road works in Oxford travel time to the cnetre can be slow. However this is something that will resolve when the road works are finished. And frankly it is a minor inconvenience for such a restful location.
Friendly staff, good quality beds modern bathroom facilities and quiet location.
Very slow service in the restaurant
Hotel ordered a taxi for us into Oxford which was 6 pounds
We got a black cab back to the hotel which was 16 pounds
The staff was very friendly, room was spacious, beautiful and had a very comfortable bed.
It is a bit hard to find.
Friendly staff, clean.
Loud diesel truck backing and backing and backing and off loading and off loading at 0500 in the morning at the front door.
Reasonably comfortable. Wifi generally good.
Limited menu. Room prices and bar prices higher than they should be.
Public areas Decor
Small Bedroom, Tiny shower room Price Puny Breakfast Buffet
Good sized bedrooms Well appointed bar and restaurant Pleasant staff
Lack of choice on the dinner menu Poor water pressure on shower My wife's steak had to be replaced - over cooked
The service was personal and excellent. Comfort and cosiness in beautiful garden setting.
Nothing to do for the kids
Conveniently located if you are by car: hotel has large parking lot (free), 2 minutes drive to parc-and-ride, bus to Oxford city centre leaves every 8 minutes and takes 7 minutes. Parking 2.00 GBP/day, family return ticket to Oxford 4.50 gbp. Beautiful country hotel, beautiful large garden, quietly located in the countryside close to Oxford. Clean, comfortable rooms with one double and one single bed.
Far too few tables in breakfast room. Cheese and ham etc. not present at buffet, had to be ordered separately. Breakfast waitress on first morning was I n c r e d I b l y s-l-o-o-o-W. From arriving at breakfast room to our breakfast being served took 40 minutes. Wifi was virtually non-existent in the rooms, and slow and weak in lounge and lobby.
