I was unable to use many of the facilities; I had a two night stay while my mother was having a life threatening operation in oxford, I was very disappointed in the room, double room single occupancy, the room was small, the sink in the shower room had no plug, the toilet was under a sloping roof so it was easy to bang your head, also the seat was lose, if you wanted to make tea or coffee you had to crawl around on your hands and knee’s to use the kettle, the tv was small but good, I have stayed many times in much nicer rooms for half the price. I had time for one breakfast that was good; the restaurant has lovely garden views, I was going to have some lunch on the Tuesday but after sitting in the bar for 30 minutes without seeing a soul I lost the will and went to my room. My mother pulled through so all is well, but if I go back to oxford I will be staying somewhere else.

The Westwood Hotel ticked all boxes for me. It was a last minute booking for a business meeting. I will stay at the Westwood again and I will look at booking the rest of my team in the Westwood the next time we arrange a team meeting. Cannot fault the hotel at all it is nice to stay in a hotel with a bit of character rather than the corporate hun drum hotels from the bigger chains

This is a lovely hotel in a great location just outside Oxford. Park & Ride nearby for commuting into Oxford. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was excedllent, we ate at both breakfast and dinner The only criticism I have is that the window frames in our room were filthy. The room was an excellent size but was spoiled by the state of the window frames. Hotel reception staff confirmed that this would be dealt with immediately, and I have no doubt that everything is now as it should be It was also slightly disappointing to have extremely small bath towels in the bathroom. It is usual to have bath sheets, or at least large bath towels in a hotel of this standard and quality. However the hotel itself is lovely

Convenient. We booked two rooms with booking.com in April for a wedding on 17th Dec, a couple of days later the hotel called to say there had been a mistake and the hotel was reserved for a wedding and booking.com should not have it as available. As we were part of the wedding party they agreed to leave the booking as it was, a single and a double room. In about September I rang the hotel to check the booking was in order and was told it was, however on arrival we were told we had only one room reserved. As it was a wedding party we did not wish to upset the bride and groom as the reception was milling around as we checked in. The receptionist offered to find us another hotel which we declined so we reluctantly accepted a put me up bed in our room for our male relative who was most disgruntled. On our return I received an email with our original two room booking, modified on the 19th Dec, clearly they were being less than honest when saying only one room had been booked.

We were treated as if we were the only ones staying at the hotel that night....even though there was a party of 30 in! The staff were great! The shower head in the room (30) was a little old and tired!

Pleasant clean hotel 10-15 mins from Oxford centre. Standard room (No 1) was on the small side and the basin hot water tap was broken. This is a matter of attention to detail on housekeeping which was the only poor management issue we experienced. Receptionist was apologetic on check out but not offered any goodwill gesture.

Small hotel, £6 taxi ride to the centre of Oxford. Good sized room with good facilities. Evening meal was a little hit and miss, I had the Lamb shank which was lovely but my partner had the Lasagne which wasn't great (too much cheese and the pasta was over cooked). Breakfast was lovely though, they use free range eggs from the chickens in the garden!

Clean and nicely decorated. We found it a bit overpriced for what it offers. The room was small. You must drive to a Park and Ride to get into Oxford or take a taxi. The breakfast was good, but nothing special considering the price.

Location is great if you have a car although a taxi in to town is only £6-10 each way. Location is peaceful and easy to find from the motorway. Cooked breakfast was basic although croissants were lovely! No bath in a standard double room (but I suppose this is down to personal preference!)

The reception staff was very friendly and helpful especially with carrying the bags up two flights of stairs. The bed was very comfortable although the room was a bit basic, but it's quite good for the price. Wifi was good. Breakfast was okay too.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Free wifi. The plumbing was very poor. It was very difficult to have a shower with no water pressure and constantly changing temperature. On the last morning, I was brought cold tea at breakfast. I asked for another and the waiter said that they were having trouble with the machine, so he knew it was cold when he brought it out. He then brought a second pot out which was also cold. I was the only person at breakfast so they were not under pressure. Couldn't someone have boiled a kettle? The food was also of average quality throughout the stay. This is not really a business person's hotel but like many in Oxford, benefits from what it can charge versus its facilities due to demand far oustripping availability.

The common rooms were quite nice but with oldish fairly tired furniture. Which is why it would work with people with children. I liked the breakfast, bar and family television rooms and the outdoor patio was glorious especially since we had excellent weather for the days we stayed there. It has a very nice yard for children to run in. If you are wanting to be going into Oxford it is not a good place. You have to call for a taxi which sometimes took up to 15 minutes and it is at least 10 min to 20 into Oxford depending on the traffic. The location and the staff were not overly helpful. Didn't offer maps or any information about the area.
