Score from 436 reviews Very good
Lovely room with big features & wonderful bay window overlooking the sea, huge, comfortable bed.
Entry in to shower (wardrobe almost) bit tight, wc very small although did the job, huge box for tea, coffee etc, but almost empty with just a few loose tea bags & uht milks. Dump the huge wooden box & just put a few small jars of tea & coffee.
The bed was brilliant, really big and very comfy
Shame about the spa bath not working
It cost me £25. Receptionist was really nice
Decor was mis-matched and depressing. Thankfully I had a shower before I got there! Had trouble finding a plug socket for phone charger. Room was right next to a corridor door that was in use and would bang closed. Got woken up by the cleaner hoovering upstairs at 7am. Room was freezing Beds were really uncomfortable Luckily I brought my own pillow. Overall the room was very u welcoming. Felt more like a bedsit/hostel than a hotel.
The staff were great - really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and we liked the breakfast room and lounge areas
Our room (room 8) was very stuffy and smelled very strongly of paint. I'm not sure if this would've been a safety hazard had we stayed more than one night! We opened the window to ventilate but there was a very loud motor coming from the yard below. This switched off at 8pm and woke us up again at 6.30am - not good on a Sunday morning. So we didn't sleep very well.
Value for money, Friendly Staff, Good Location, Sea View, Attractive Hotel Exterior, Good Public Areas in Hotel, Good Breakfast.
Shower room a bit small and shower not working very well ( temperature control ). Bed springs movement felt through Mattress. No Artwork in room and bedroom paintwork requiring a bit of freshening up.
the location,the room,the friendly staff,
the bed was meant to be a double bed but it was 2 single beds pushed together which made it abit uncomfortable when we turned over as it dipped in the middle obviously so we sunk abit.so that is something you definately should look into
Shower was broken, mould in the bathroom, run down
The bed was new and very comfortable. The room had been recently decorated and the shower room was great. Good breakfast in a spacious dining room overlooking the sea. Comfortable lounge and sun lounge.
Our room had several steps to negotiate to and from the lift. So you would need to say if that was a problem for you.
The location of the hotel was very good, as were the views of the seafront. The breakfast was very nice and quickly presented
I stayed in Room 7. The WC was so small that i had to leave the door open when using the WC. The shower room had mold to the lower level mastic seals. The decor to the window frames of the bay window require attention. The carpet was dirty, especially to the area in front of the table by the bay window. I was unable to get any food, not even a sandwich when I arrived at circa 7pm. (the reason for not being able to provide a ham sandwich was that the ham was out of date!!!) The wardrobe coat hangers were so weak that my jacket constantly fell off. This was my 2nd stay. On my previous visit I stayed in the "luxury" suite where the spa bath didn't work and neither did the wall mounted TV. Probably wont be staying again!!
Spacious room with large en-suite area. Basic but useful facilities. Excellent value for money.
Clearer entry instructions on the entrance for arrivals would be useful.
Staff was very friendly, hotel was easy to find and we had great views of the beach
We expected a little more of the room... The shower and toilet were basically both in a cupboard, our double bed was in reality two single beds pushed together, there is no wifi in the rooms and the whole room felt old and in need of some updating/new carpets/lick of paint.
Our room was lovely. Big soft bed, sea views, crystal chandelier, antique furnishings, beautiful drapes.
This was my second stay in the hotel and it was just as good as the first time.Clean and comfortable, very friendly and near to pier and town.excelleny and would definitely stay again,
there was nothing to dislike.
Excellent position. Food very good. Staff extremely helpful.
Jacuzzi not working.
Great value and very helpful staff. Excellent brakfast
Parking can sometimes be difficult
Have stayed before and both times there has been a problem with the TV. There is a great facility to borrow a wide range of DVD's, but I recommend that their TV's and their DVD players inside are checked more frequently
Not told about the breakfast time for Sunday morning so we completely missed it. Staff very sorry but still we were hingry
Great value Been here before It's got everything I need for a night over Breakfast nicely cooked and just right to get you started
Parking limited but that's nothing to do with the hotel itself Traffic a bit loud through the single glazed windows But the sea sounds lovely at night when traffic dies down :-) so wasn't that grumpy about it
Kettle and cups
Tea and coffee was hidden
Staff were helpful and cheerful
pleasant helpful staff rooms very well apointed and spotless breakfast very nice
The view from the room, nice staff.
Nothing bad to report :)
the location on the beach front was convenient. Breakfast was served earlier for me than expected as I only wanted continental
My room was very COLD but the corridors were warm. Being pregnant, I had a bad back at the end of the day and lying on the bed was making my back ache even more. It was very hard and lumpy where I could feel the springs. My nights were therefore not restful! I wanted continental breakfast only and was disappointed at the quality of the orange juice but even worse was the mislabelling of the cereals which was misleading (Coco pops is a Kellogg's brand, what was in the tub was definitely not up to Kellogg's standards!).
On arrival the receptionest was very welcoming, view from roomwas great and bed was comfortable, room was agood size with large bathroom. Breakfast was good.
Room was well overdue a lick of paint, and shower was old.
