I like the breakfast, and the room nice. Nice view to the sea. friendly seahulls, friendly staff, good facilyties. very near the pier, and good traveling connection. the room carpet was unclean, it was not vacum while we stayed there. The bathroom mirrow light was not working, and it was not enough toilett tissue.

This hotel is brilliant if you don't wanna pay a huge amount for a night. Staff were excellent, very nice and polite. Location is brilliant, next to the see and very close to the town center. Toilet and bathroom a bit old and very small. But that wasn't a big problem.

Breakfast room was nice and bright and nice breakfast for the money. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We were very upset with our room. I booked this through Booking.com and I booked a sea view. If there had been any indication that we would not get a sea view we would have booked somewhere else. I would even have paid extra for a decent room. We came for our wedding anniversary and instead of a beautiful view of the sea with large windows and a balcony to make it special, we had a terrible street view and a small window out the back. We asked to be moved as had booked a sea view but they said this had not been passed on by Booking.com and they did not have one. On the internet the hotel looks lovely - it doesn't show the bit at the back that looks like a prison block from the outside which we were in. Also when we were ready to go out for the evening, about 9 0 clock, we had a loud constant knocking sound which turned out to be an air lock in the pipes or something Someone came up and said they would deal with it and if not they had a twin room we could move into. We waited about to see if we had to move to another room or whether it would be fixed and eventually it was fixed. By that time it was getting later and we ended up not even going out so our anniversary evening was rubbish ! All in all we were not happy.

The room itself was lovely and very comfortable, the staff were very welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was very nice Jacuzzi bath was not working and also tv in bathroom did not work either therefore I think this should be mentioned and a reduction made on the price of the room as it is advertised as an executive room costing £90 per night,

The Superior sea view room was amazing, full height bay windows looking out on to the beach. Lovely king size bed. Location. Nice breakfast. We arrived to find the bar and restaurant wasn't open as hotel was quiet. This should have been noted on our booking or on the website, as one of the reasons we went there, was because it had a bar and restaurant. Toilet in room was tiny, shower very slow.

The price It was a bit shabby, the carpet in my room was soiled but the bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. The breakfast was horrible, the ingredients were of poor quality and I couldn't eat it except for the toast but the room was cheap so I can't complain.

Our room had a four-poster bed which was lovely, and a jacuzzi bath, both of which we had never had before. It was right opposite the beach, near the pier and shops, and as we were there for the airshow very convenient to watch the planes and visit the trade stalls. If I was to be really picky, some of the paintwork on the windows needed some maintenance but nothing else to complain about.

The bed was very comfy and the sea view was good, (as long as you got sea front room). Breakfast was addaquate. Having booked the superior double with sea views, they tried to give us a much inferior room to start with, which smelt damp and musty, over looking the back street of Eastbourne, as we complained about this, they told us the only one left was the four poster room and tried to get us to pay an extra £30 for the up grade/change, the guy on reception wasn't friendly in any way, softly spoken but abrupt. The Hotel its self having little or no wheel chair access could be a maze of corridors and stairs, with no clear signs as to where each room is, not even the TV's in the room worked properly, having a waterproof one in the bathroom which didn't even turn on, the shower was only a hand held shower head, once turned on didn't turn off properly, this may all seem picky but if your looking for a luxury romantic breakaway I would try the Travelodge 100yards down the road.

Noisy during night. Felt claustraphobic due to size of room. Bathroom very small and nowhere to put toilet roll or towels. Shower very compact and did not drain well causing water to spill out of tray. Explained that I would be leaving early before breakfast and was offered toast. When I got to reception at 07.00 unable to make any contact with staff. No milk, (Powdered or otherwise) in room for tea or coffee.

I liked the fact that it was ensuite and £28.50 a night for fri and sat on the 25th-27th May 2012.. Location was superb, staff friendly, Breakfast, I ordered a poached egg 2 bacon 1 sausage and toast, bacon was melt in your mouth so fantastic, sausage was not very nice poached egg was put in a pan of water not cooked in a poacher, and I had to wait 4-5 minutes for toast after I got my breakfast... The people who ordered a full english breakfast the breky did actually look very nice. ( I hate beans and tomato ). Ok. Tuesday 22nd may I heard uk was having a heatwave so I booked up with booking.com for the following fri. So for the price I paid for a single ensuite room I was over the moon and with breakfast so can't complain. Plus train fair was £4 eachway from London Victoria. I didn't plan to stay in my room much so I was happy with what I got for my ££. It's obvious I paid for the cheapest room availible so that is all I can judge my stay on and for the price I am very pleased... One thing that did let my room down was the shower, Within 2 minutes the water went from scorching hot to freezing cold, but as Eastbourne was going through a heatwave after the scorching sensation was over and the shower was hot I went under and let the water cool naturally to cold and stayed under to cool down.. If you plan to stay at this hotel and want to socialise in it, you need to ring up or e-mail them and find out if they are opeing the main bar.. I was told the main bar area is only open when a coach or a big party have requested it.... But, by the checking in desk there is a small bar and you can take drinks up to your room or chill out around the hotel

Lovely location, right on the seafront- we could see the sea perfectly from our bed! We booked one of the basic rooms and it was very basic- but had everything we needed and the bed was one of the comfiest i've ever slept in! Slight minor point- the kettle was very dirty and I didn't feel happy to make a cup of tea in the room. Overall, a fair price for a basic but clean room in a fantastic location with very friendly staff.

The sea view through the large bay window was beautiful, and even though it was ageing the hotel interior was surprisingly grand.
