My suggestion is maybe a possible improvement to the thickness of the partition wall of the room I stayed in because on one night I could clearly hear the very loud couple talking in the next room and the TV was up very loud. Not really a big problem and this was down to the guests themselves rather than the property but thought I would mention it.
I'm currently having to work in the area so make weekly stays at the Whaddon Grove house so much better than a boring chain hotel. I have to say the setting is amazing; fields surround 360 of the house. Paul and Lorraine who run Whaddon Grove explained they brought a derelict shell of a place in the mid 1990's and converted it in to the most amazing guest house I've stayed in (Check out the photo folder in the breakfast room to see how much hard work they went through)
The couple are fantastic and make you feel very welcome into their house. Nothing appears to be too much trouble for them.
The room I stayed in room 3 a twin luxury room is just that, lovely room with adjustable electric beds, large wall mounted Samsung TV and plenty of storage and tea and coffee facilities. The highlight is the most fantastic walk in double shower with ceiling mounted double headed rain shower; this was the perfect way to unwind after my days at work. Other rooms have bath spas or even a hot tub on a balcony for that lovely summer night away as a couple drinking wine looking out over endless Wiltshire fields.
The full English breakfasts are delicious, lovely Tropicana orange juice (no bits, my favourite) and all locally sourced food, sausages, eggs cooked to perfection lovely and runny, and thick slices of bacon with tomato and in my case beans not mushrooms as I'm not a fan of them.
Also in the breakfast room is a drinks fridge which allows you to pop some money into an honesty box and take a nice chilled bottle of wine to your room. Other drinks include Ales, lagers or soft drinks. I have yet to take advantage of this great idea as I'm working during the weeks there but may try it next time!
I will be back there all next week Monday 18th - 22nd May and look forward to the same amazing hospitality and comfort.
