the location of the hotel was spot on to carry out our weekendplans the heating in our room was not working when we arrived and our first attempt to resolve the problem was met with the receptioist sending a member of staff from the kitchen who could not help at all.we called the duty manager who acted promptly to satisfactorily solve the problem.he also adjusted our account to compensate for our inconvenience. |

I found the staff very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is very centrally located and ideal for the shops and bars etc. I did not like the set menu at all and thought it expensive. The drinks were also expensive. I think more residents would stay in the hotel if you offer meals at a reasonable price and drinks. The lounge is comfortable but £6.50 a drink not good |

Comfort of the suite I was allocated and the friendliness of the staff. The stairs! I was told I was virtually on the first floor with just a few more steps. It turned out the flight to the first floor was OK but the 'few steps' was another whole flight of much narrower and twisting steps - a bit of a trek when you have a suitcase and a brief case! |

Checking in very efficient. I was in a single quiet room overlooking the lovely garden. Room only option was ideal as I was at the Banbury Folk Festival for most of my stay. Easy to find (near very recognisable Banbury Cross on traffic island so if you overshoot it, driving from north, you can just go round island and drive into a good level tarmacced car park at back. They give you the exit code when you check in). My room had an excellent purpose designed cabinet for fridge and tea tray - best I have seen. Well designed bathroom with 2 showers and grab rail above bath. Well stocked One Stop convenience store (6am - 10pm) & several reasonably priced restaurants within walking distance of hotel, on well lit streets. Room fridge did not seem to be working after first night's stay. Perhaps they switch it back on if you order a drinks pack? Room radiator did not seem to work but there was a fan heater in the wardrobe if I had needed it but thick duvet very warm. Also an ironing board. Some buttons on analogue TV remote did not work but at the price, I would not necessarily expect a TV in the room any way. |

It was quiet, peacful and comfortable. When we checked out, there was no: "hope you enjoyed your stay," etc. It made us feel as if nobody had noticed we had stayed there; a bit unfreindly really. |

Very little, even the breakfast was below the standard for this group. The coffee was ok though. I would welcome a call from management to discuss it. The dangerous bedside light, the uncomfortable room perched in the gods and reclaimed from storage use, the lack of comparability with the other, excellent, Mercure Hotel that I stayed at that week. |

Excellent location, very comfortable, very clean, close to train station, close to local restaurants and public houses. Wine was a little expensive at £32 for the cheapest bottle. |

Lovely old hotel within walking distance to banburys shops. Our room was great ,with beams, very large overlooking beautifull gardens where you could sit with a drink.Breakfasts were really good and the staff were very friendly.Good base for exploring the cotswolds. As we stayed for 7 nights would have liked a wider choice on evening menu, but the meals we had were good. |

We only stayedovernight but found it a very relaxing time. It was nice and quiet and really nice rooms some of the decoration was starting to look a bit tired along the corridors to the rooms. The cooked breakfast was a bit dissapointing compared with the standard of the hotel. |

The view out our window of the gardens was soothing and lovely. Having amenities such as the refrigerator and the tea making supplies was very convenient. The price of the breakfast was too high for what was offered. Lunch was less expensive than breakfast. |

It was comfortable and pleasant, with pleasant staff, and it was very convenient for us as we were attending a party at Broughton Castle. There was a small problem with a picture light in our room which had a bad connection and flashed intermittently during the night, until we got up and investigated and found that it had been accidentally switched on. This was reported to reception in the morning. Apart from that, everything was fine. |

The hotel was ideally situated in the centre of Banbury, very convenient for the celebration party we were attending in the town. Whately Hall is a beautiful old hotel, the room was a generous size and had all the little extras that make a hotel stay comfortable. |

The Feathers Hotel, situated in the centre of historic Woodstock on the doorstep of Blenheim Palace. Originally seven separate houses, the hotel boasts character and charm with antiques and log fires. |
Nestled just minutes from the hustle and bustle of the historic town of Woodstock, our hotel, close to Blenheim Palace, is a gem of Great British inns. |
The White Horse Inn is a charming 17th-century coaching inn on the eastern edge of the Cotswolds. It has Real Ales, redecorated rooms and a restaurant with Cotswold stone walls. |
